Switch 2 is so far away from streamlined homebrew rn, it literally just came out.

Thanks to Bad Update, I was able to get back into my X360 and the games I missed.

Is there an H-shop/PS3 hub for X360 physical games (ISOs -> GODs) DLCs?
>>
i actually bought a switch 2 and boy do i feel burned. what a dogshit console. the 2nd mario rabbids game still runs in 30 fps for example. why do 90% of games not have a switch 2 update. why are games running at 60 fps when the console supports 120hz? the 4k doesn't even look that good. why wouldn't they have just opted for 1080p 120hz on all the games? jesus christ i can go on and on.

selling this dogshit console and taking the loss.
>>
>>548175257
>why do 90% of games not have a switch 2 update.
cause someone needs to be paid for that to be produced
>why wouldn't they have just opted for 1080p 120hz on all the games?
as a 1080p60fps truther i have the same question, but i suppose it's one of those marketing buzz they have to use. Like the steam machine also saying it can do 4k whatever even though its specs clearly show it won't, even with frame generation and shit, on the games where it would make sense

Just a basic bitch question, it's safe to update the 3ds to whatever the latest fw is, right? After updating luma. I connected it to the internet and now it's complaining about the update, it's not a big deal and from reading guides it sounds safe, but I just wanted to triple check.
>>
>>548226086
I did it like 2 weeks ago after updating everything and it all worked fine
>>
>>548226517
That's what I figured, thanks, I just wanted to double check because 3ds homebrew seems pretty thoroughly dead at this point, aside from the dude maintaining luma I suppose.
>>
>>548226086
Just backport your games if you don't have a specific need to update. There are several issues 19.x onward ranging from battery overheating to homebrews not working bc of new firmware limitations.
>>
>>548230692
You mean with the switch, yeah? I actually tried backporting since my switch is hacked, too. I think some games do have a hard minimum fw, Pokemon ZA worked on 18.0 but not Silksong. Most everything I want to play on the switch is older so this isn't that big a deal for me.

I can vouch for 20.0.1. Was having warming issues while docked, even on sleep mode but it's been perfect since the upsate. Ok chuds, I want to play Majora's Mask in Japanese on my Wii. It seems that my options of versions are:

Does this new card work on the new 3ds to play DS,dsi roms? I miss my old supercard ds2 or something like that iirc. That thing had a built in CPU for full speed emulation of nes, snes. My ex-wife kept it during my divorce rape. She kept every system and games I collected since I was a kid. Fucking bitch man, I bet she sold shit on ebay. Don't ever get married bros! It's not worth it for men, and it's become a get rich scheme for most women, plus a retirement plan. Stupid cunt will end up alone in the end. She destroyed my, hers and my kids lives. You're using an emuNAND right? Do you have sysNAND at a low firmware? If so just make a new emu and update to 18.1.0 (or 20.0.1 for Silksong as per >>548246162). Use Incognito, 90DNS, block servers, etc, and use SAK to patch new games. >>548129921

I don't understand why there is such little PS5 crap discussed here. There is new crap out everyday and I cannot follow what to do. what hardrives work, how to load games what games i can play and how to play them. I have a fw 8.6 PS5 I know i can do something with it. but there is no retard starter guide like in the op that just gives me the bare miniumum to maximize piracy capabilitiies . the only other catalog searchable console based sub forum thing or whatever this line of discourse is called is for the PSP VIta. wtf is this place.
>>
>>548408286
the shit in the op gets added by the anons that want to contribute in some way, usually those that actually have the thing. If you know something though feel free to share, you might have some other anons chiming in and eventually a proper guide can be written
like i for one lost track of ps4 shit, even though i have one, let alone the ps5 shit
>>
i want to get a hacked ps4, can i still log into psn and buy then dump games? there's some stuff that i cannot find downloads for at all.
>>
>>548409021
iirc you can't by virtue of the hackable firmware not being the latest, meaning you can't access the psn in the first place
>>
>>548409164
can you load digital games onto external storage? i could download the games on my brothers up to date ps4 then dump them with my hacked one?
>>
>>548408286
This thread has like 6 or 7 regulars that either don't have a PS5 and/or won't bother making a guide until there aren't constant updates and "new best method" stuff coming out and forcing the guide to be redone every day.

>>548409021
You need the latest firmware to go online. So right now your choices are:
>update to get online access to buy stuff, but you lose the hack
>stay in your current FW that can pirate, but you have to wait and hope that someone dumps what you want

>>548409315
Not sure on this one, but I don't think so. You can apparently format an external drive to install games and apps to it, but my guess is that it will do something like the 3DS or Switch do with their SDs, where the drive will only work with the "original" console.
>>
>>548409315
Adding to >>548409697 (me), here are a couple links with details:
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps4-external-hdd-support/
https://www.seagate.com/pt/pt/support/kb/using-an-external-drive-to-store-games-and-apps-on-a-playstation-4-007801en/
The console formats the drive in a way that can't be read by PCs. You can try looking up homebrew that allows you to get around the "limit", maybe someone did that at some point to dump games in the way you're trying to.
>>
>>548301353

The hex addresses in my wad doesn't match however, not even the US version I downloaded to compare. I found matching strings so I guess I'll try changing the values and pray..
>>
>>548424878
>any latency numbers?
no hard ones, at least that i know of, but i can say that if there's a QTE then you'll have to adjust your timing. I'd say maybe half a second at its worst? As i said it rules out some games but for most others imo you can just get used to it.
Then again i'm talking about 1080p streaming (which you need overclock for) with bitrate at like 15 at most (increasing it makes it better but at the cost of visual quality), the lag is way less present in portable at 720p
>>
>>548436608
Yeah it just boots me back to the Wii Menu and now USB Loader crashes on startup occasionally so I guess I messed up the emuNAND. Fixable of course but lol.

Yeah. Yeah guess I'll play the GC version and tank the crashes. Unless someone can tell me where I fucked up.

Yes, and 9E280 didn't have the 38 60 00 00 string either. It was in a different address, in two addresses even so I feel like my game is not the same as the guide. I did download the NTSC-U version to compare but its addresses didn't match the guide either.

eventually sure, just not soon. Like the x360 took 20 years to get one, though of course it's not like there was a team of hackermen spending every day of those years working on it

you do, which is why you just find someone else to do it for you. Be glad the chip nowadays is very cheap like 5 bucks cheap, cause it used to be like 150 a few years ago

Wait, maybe I got it. First I had to decompress the 00000001.app file to a 00000001.dol file using wwcxtool.. the guide said to "extract the 00000001.app file" so I thought that meant just unpacking the WAD file but guess not.

Ok, so A1164 means A1160, column 04 I guess. This is the NTSC-U version tho which is not what I want, so let's hope the NTSC-J version has the same addresses.

More like I'm fumbling through the darkness. It seems the NTSC-J versions addresses are not the same. Thanks for the encouragement.

Why are consoles so expensive? PS4s are still like $250 in my country. Sometimes I wish I stuck to just emulation, but I want to play some of the games that can't be run on emulations yet.
>>
>>548592264
Which country are you in? PS4s are like $90 where I live and they come hackable with the right firmware for hacking, too. The only thing expensive right now is a moddable PS5, which goes beyond $500 in most places I've seen. At this point, I’d just invest in a PC if I want free modern games. Home consoles aren’t really worth it for homebrew anymore.

Btw the Star Fox 64 JP VC works perfectly so yeah I'm thinking MM is just cursed.
>>
>>548645884
the problem is the bespoke emulator within the gc zelda collection. I'm parroting what I remember, but something something nintendo handcrafted an n64 emulator for the oot/mq release. then they just tried to shove mm into that emulator for the bigger collection. it is not an all-purpose n64 emulator, but one specially made oot. mm is a very different game under the hood, which is why it has so many issues

wii vc is a more generalized emulator and thus runs anything generally decently. you're better off extracting the mm rom from the collection and injecting that into vc, instead of running the entire gamecube thingamajig
>>
>>548646283
Mhm, so that's why the GC version has bugs.
And yes sorry if I was unclear, running the Japanese Wii VC version of Majora's Mask on my European Wii is what I have been trying to do.
However, it (unlike other Japanese N64 VC games like Star Fox 64) runs bad so I have been trying to make it run good with no success, and so I'm stuck with the Japanese GameCube Zelda Collection version.

>>548647413
I appreciate the help.
A hypothesis: The Video Mode patch and DOL Video patch settings in USBLoaderGX should already do what we're trying to do anyway so if those didn't work, maybe changing the settings in the code wouldn't work anyway.

That part doesn't seem cheap. It seems more cost effective to sell it and just get a v1 (which are like $100 for the tablet itself). But of course there are loads of them so I'd have to price mine lower to sell. Maybe I'd be out $40 in that case.

I'm still not thrilled with the switch but there are a couple games I want to play now. Not sure if there is better hardware for the same price to play it yet.

Problem with those is that some Switch are banned already so it's a lottery on what you're going to get. If you don't care then sure, go right ahead.

one save strategy for the gc version is use both slots for a single run. whenever owl saving, copy that save to the other slot. that way, if you crash, you have the backup until you have to reset time again

at first maybe, but you're getting a more worn out device. Battery issues, controller issues, rails issues, and even more depending who you're getting it from. Sure, it's all stuff that can be fixed too, but that's even more costs. Idk, if i were you i'd just find someone that can solder the chip (the chip itself nowadays is very cheap) instead

As someone who has a modded PS2, if you value playing at your "watering hole" (maybe with CRT, original controller etc) yes I'd say so. However if you just want to play the games, yeah just emulate.

it's okay to have those moments but if it's lasting for a long time and you don't like it (cause i mean, you can just also not be interested in playing videogames anymore) just pick one out of that bunch and play it. If it doesn't hook you in, or if you go to sleep and the next day you don't feel like returning to it then let it go and play another one. Rinse and repeat until you're out of games to play (at which point you might want to look into the ones you let go and try them again, i know i had some games that only hooked me in like the third time i tried them)

No use hoarding on games that "i might want to play someday"

Speaking of Switch emulation, are these games playable?
Some of the games on my list shows 'Ingame' in the Ryujinx compatibility list. And I saw that half of the games that I'm interested in playing doesn't even show up in the compatibility list. I don't mind since I'm not dying to play them though.

the nand is your system memory (the "32gb" of the console itself, without an SD card).

That's because it's for your emunand, and it's pretending to be the normal console memory when you use emunand.

You install it to the SD space instead of the nand.

>>
>>548940719

Open DBI and run MTP mode. A new drive called Switch will show up on your PC. Inside you'll find a folder called Install to MicroSD or Micro SD Install. Locate the NSP on your computer and drag it to this folder. This doesn't move the file over, it triggers DBI to install it. You don't have to actually move the nsp to your switch's storage

i guess it's not too bad, but you have to factor in the joycon sticks likely need to be changed with hall effect ones, and/or getting a whole new controller instead (like gamesir or 8bitdo)
also also i'll double check the serial to really make sure it's hackable
>>
>>548955824
I have an 8bitdo Pro2 already. I don't plan on actually using the controllers. I assumed it's like PS3 and PS4 where you need the original controllers to navigate the menu to mod it.
Can I save money by not getting controllers? I do need the dock and power cord though.

you don't, you don't even need controllers to do that
>Can I save money by not getting controllers?
sure, but i mean are you sure you'll never gonna play it in handheld, ever? I myself got one to only play docked and ended up using it handheld pretty often. And no, you don't need joycons to play handheld but they make it easier given the form factor. Plus, the joycons are just easy little brother controllers, or anyway controllers to give to people if you plan on having game nights with friends or whatever. And getting them separately is gonna cost you more than they do in this "bundle"
>>
>>548957760
>you don't, you don't even need controllers to do that
Maybe I'm misremembering, but I remember you needed an OEM controller to navigate through safe mode.
>And getting them separately is gonna cost you more than they do in this "bundle"
Yeah, you're probably right. While I have no plans to use them as a handheld at the moment I won't know till I actually use it. Might as well buy it as a whole.
Still, $300CAD is a lot. I'll wait a couple of more days to see if I really want one.
>>
>>548959595
Might as well get it now before you can no longer get an unpatched one at normal prices. Look at what happened to the 3DS. As soon as the Switch 2 is hacked or people start forgetting the 1, it takes just 1 youtuber to start a trend to get old consoles, and it will skyrocket in price

that's what i thought, that's the weaker one. You'll want a "New" 3DS, retarded naming scheme but it's like the pro version that gets even better when you hack it as it's much better for emulation and the better performance can be enabled for every game instead of just select ones (how it works when it's not hacked). This one also has a normal size and XL size forms btw
also, there's the 2DS, that one doesn't have different sizes but it does have the base and "new" versions, should be cheaper than the equivalent 3DS

Mm ok. I read a bit about NDS Forwarder and in the changelog it implies Force Install is for romhacks, so try Force Install. As for brick chance, probably no because the game installs on your SD card instead of the system itself.

If it still has issues running, then it might be because your ROM is trimmed and missing those files. In that case, download a base B/W2 ROM from Myrient and patch the hack onto it yourself.

I more so just like fucking around with glitches to breathe new life into games I like. Love them or hate them, glitches are part of the game and intentionally gimping yourself for "muh developer intentions" is retarded. Randos are also pretty cool and playing with logic that accounts for glitches really tests your knowledge of the game.

As for MM specifically, I'd at least recommend looking in to Index warping, bomb hovering, and supersliding/HESSing. The last two also work on OoT. They're just a bit different between games because of how each game handles explosions.

wondering if anyone has had this problem, I left my hacked switch on hekkate 6.2.2 unplugged for around 4 months and when i tried to inject hekkate from RCM I get a "Failure to init or Mount SD", ive opened up the switch and the sd card reader is firmly in place but i still get the error, is there any known fix , would replacing the mini sd card reader even do anything?

I've heard people using things like a raspberry pi to shrink down the footprint, if you don't have much space. You probably won't get anywhere near 60fps.

Switch emulators suck at the moment.
Decided to buy it anyways. I woke up and I said 'fuck it' and impulsively bought it. Even if I don't use it and continue emulating I'd like to at least have one in my console collection.
Worst thing that can happen is I don't use and I just mod it and give it to my sisters. They love Nintendo games but can't buy the games because of how expensive they are. They don't have a decent PC to emulate stuff either. Might be nice as a Christmas present or something.
>>

>>
>>549151985
Alright.
>>
>>549151619
Is switch emulation good enough? I actually got a Switch for Bayo 3 because that game woudn't run. But I did play some games like Mario Odyssey back in the day and they ran and looked great.
>>
>>549152558
Not that guy, but isn't Switch emulators stagnating right now? All the forks are just giving Yuzu and Ryujinx emulators a facelift and calling it updates. No one is actually developing it anymore.

>>549153143
It's "good enough" yeah. You might have to find tweaks and patches for games to make it look better and run smoother though. This is a per game basis so you have to find one for each game you want to play. Kinda annoying but it's similar to finding 60FPS patches for modded Switches.
>>
>>549153702
>but isn't Switch emulators stagnating right now?
no, at least by virtue of them running games that came out after ryujinx and yuzu proper got nintendo'd
>>
>>549154035
Do they run well though? I've been reading that games after the lawsuit runs horrible. But maybe it's just people that have shit PCs.
>>
>>549154194
i know Xenoblade X DE, that came out this year, works perfectly fine so ye they run well. But also ye, emulating switch takes a somewhat beefy system, especially if you don't want to be bound to switch visual quality, and/or start applying 60fps patches and whatnot
>>
>>549156136
So it can at least run 30FPS consistently even without patches? That's actually pretty good then, considering the Switch itself can barely run those games at a consistent 30FPS.
I've been largely ignoring Nintendo emulation since I'm a Sony fanboy. Maybe it's time to look into it some more again.
>>
>>549156727
i played at 2x resolution and 60fps (patch) just fine, besides from some hiccups in some areas clearly caused by my own rig (i usually target 1080p60fps for pc games so i don't have a particularly powerful setup)
before actually trying it for myself though i also knew that it was still bad, especially for amd cards which i have, and especially for xenoblade games, but either that's old info or i've been lucky cause i had no actual emulator-related issue myself

NTA but for what it's worth, I've been playing a few games on the Steam Deck (picrel) with Eden:
>Smash Ultimate
Runs pretty much perfect. Might have a few stutters due to shader caching, but once that's done it's smooth sailing
>Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Final Bar Line
Didn't play it too much yet, but it ran fine. Maybe a bit more input lag than on the Switch itself, but you can tweak that in the options.
>Pokemon Scarlet
Haven't played through the whole game yet, but it runs better than on the Switch 1. Definitely should run fine on a beefy PC
>Pokemon Legends ZA
It started to lose FPS after some time (possibly a memory leak), and every now and then the graphics janked out with vertex explosions, but it ran a lot better than I expected. Can't compare it with the Switch since mine's unhacked and I won't bother buying the game, but I wouldn't be surprised if it runs better than the Switch. It should run fine on a proper PC (FPS wise, at least, the graphic glitches might still happen now and then)
>Tears of the Kingdom
Has stutters because of all the shader caching it needs to do, and some effects make it dip in FPS, but I think it still manages to run a bit better than the actual Switch 1 version. PC can run it at 60FPS or higher, if powerful enough.
>Dragon Quest 1-2 2.5HD Remake (or whatever it's called)
It ran like hot ass when I tried it a few weeks ago. I assume it's because it uses UE5 + the emulator needing optimisations for it.
That said, I haven't been emulating these last weeks, so by the time I update Eden to play ZA's DLC, it might be better.
>>
>>549158474
Oh, and both MK8D and Animal Crossing also run without issues, from what little I played them, but those are pretty old games that ran perfect before Yuzu and Ryujinx got felted.

That's great! Just keep in mind the GC version is a bit freezy, so it's good to save often and copy owl saves to the second save file. So far it has frozen three times for me: Once during gameplay, and twice after saving. Thankfully, the saves still worked.
My first freeze was during a white screen transition in Clock Town, and it feels like the game stutters more during those. So maybe it's good to a avoid white screen transitions, for example going through the valves in Clock Town instead of the open air walkways. (or I'm just wrong)

Check out the instructions here on the github for full info. But it's really simple you just need to put stuff in the folders it tells you to. Once you have things set up just open Tesla Menu (default keybind: L1 + dpad down + R3), open Emuiibo from the menu and select your amiibo to enable.

PSA to all my homebros. It's probably a good time to pickup a used Shitch, even if you already have one. Maybe you want to keep one on lower firmware for homebrews or have a backup just in case. Don't be that homebro that's sitting here in 2-3 years regretting not getting one after they're all $300 like 3DS/Vita. If you already have some spare Joy-Cons, you can usually find a pretty good deal on just the tablet for about $100.

You've reached the eternal question: Is it still your first game console even though most parts are replaced/new? Would it feel the same in 5 or 10 years when you hold it again and don't see the original plastic or screens?
I'd say if you want to play one (and you're gonna invest in it) just get a new one that people make with new shells and stuff, and keep that old one as-is

Yeah, if you plan on getting a 3DS, just go with that. It runs GBA games natively, and the "worst" thing about it is that it uses a bigger resolution, but generally you can make it run the original res if you don't like that.
Maybe keep the GBA as a collectible relic for being your first console, or in case the components get a bit cheaper down the line.

it's still in warranty (until late february) so i'm gonna try rma, i spent the last few months troubleshooting to really narrow the issue down and now i'm just 99% sure it's the gpu itself not working, not something else that stops it from working. Like the only other thing i haven't tried is a similar gpu in term of specs (and most importantly, power consumption), but at this point i very much doubt it's something else
i was indeed wondering though if i should just buy a new one anyway and use that one while this one is in rma (as i'm expecting it to take like 2 months) and then once it comes back to keep it as a backup, but i also don't want to waste money, especially if they end up giving me a new one themselves, so idk

amd rx 6700xt, xfx swift to be more precise. I think the pins somehow got fucked up cause reseating usually fixes it, but it's taken increasingly more time reseating it to fix it and now it seemingly refuses to get fixed with just reseating it. What gets me is that it's random too, like i left it "dead" friday night, went to sleep, saturday morning i tried on a whim and it worked, but i had to go out so i shut down the system and when i came back 5 hours :^) later it didn't work again, the whole time the system was left completely untouched.
Also, when it does work it does without a hitch, no artifacts nor any other issues like idk overheating or crashes, not even driver crashes or anything, it just works. But when it doesn't it's as if it's not even connected, and every time i "fixed" it whatever thing i did at that time, whatever "oh of course it didn't work, it's because of this!", didn't work anymore when the issue showed up again. I wish it was a simple "reinstall sigpatches again"

i mean it worked fine for a year, and technically still does when it doesn't have this issue, i think i either got a faulty one or i have caused the issue myself (my only real theory is that at first i had it in a case that was really too small for it, had to really force it in there to install it, but on the other hand that very case is the one i used when it worked flawlessly so i'm not really sure whether that can be it)
i also read lots of positive experiences of their rma process but i'm biased as i want that to be true for myself as i'm about to go at it too

I even used it for both LLMs and image generation models. It was annoying to set up because

>>
>>549431073
it depends on if you're picky about the retro feeling, a CRT looks way better than a scaler, but it's bulky, heavy, prone to failure and uses more power. Even if the one in the pick is tested, I would still take a look at marketplace for a better deal if you still want that. The 2X is small and convenient if you want something quick and reliable, it doesn't do miracles for the video quality, but you will just get used to it, and as the other anon said, chink scalers are getting pretty good these days

In regards to updating the switch 2? Was any firm to stay on even hinted at yet?
>>
>>549456134
Always the lowest firmware. Only because of they managed to hack any firmware you can update to that.
It's been impossible to revert a firmware so staying on the lowest one gives you the highest chance to have a hackable model.
>>
>>549457537
This isn't always true though.
>>
>>549458026
Only time you were able to revert to a lower firmware was to solder a new chip.
If you're able to do that then go right ahead. Or again, just buy an older version of the console.
>>
>>549458743
I mean the lowest version being the only hackable one, especially for nintendo consoles.
>>
>>549461840
That's not what I said, you dumb fuck. I said if you're on the lowest firmware you can easily update to a hackable firmware.
If you're in a higher firmware it's close to impossible to revert the firmware to hack it.
>>
>>549462163
You most likely won't need the lowest possible firmware to hack it when hacks come out. That's what I've been saying.

>>
>>549476558
Any dual layer games like Gran Turismo 4, God of War 2, Rogue Galaxy, can freeze at FMVs or enter a load screen and get infinite loading. Will crash after layer change.
Games that are sensitive to fragmentation or streaming like Resident Evil 4 which has FMV sturrer, same for Shadow of the Colossus and MGS3.
Some games need HDL patches that get applied automatically in batch installer like SOCOM 2, Time Crisis 3, some Ratchet and Clank games.
Ace Combat 4 and 5 also has issues with the ISO method

Sorry for the tech support post, but I can't get my 3DS to turn on and it's really bumming me out, any help would be appreciated.
So I have a hacked N3DS XL, it's been working perfectly since I hacked it around 5 years ago, except for the fact that the charging light doesn't turn on. It charges perfectly fine, it's just that the light never turns on. Also, sometimes I would need to press the power button several times to turn it on.
So about a week ago, I booted it up for the first time in around a year, and everything was working. I took out the SD card to put some games on, and after I put in back in, I couldn't turn the 3DS on. So the issue could be:
1. I bricked the console somehow by moving the SD card. I'm not sure how this could have happened since I've done this several times in the past. But I'm also a retard and don't fully understand how CFW works. Also, my 3DS still doesn't boot if I take out the SD card.
2. The 3DS isn't charging. I thought this could be the issue and that the charging light issue was indicative of the battery being damaged and it just recently fully died. I bought a replacement battery, but the 3DS still won't turn on. The problem is that, if it is charging, I can't tell because the charging light doesn't work. Does anyone know if there's a different way to tell if the battery's charged?
3. The power button doesn't work. Since it was already having issues before, this seems likely to be the problem. However if this is the issue I'm probably fucked because fixing it would be too complicated for me.
>>
>>549522807
I'm rusty as hell with 3ds, but
1. you probs have an emunand or custom boot that prevents it from turning on without the sd
2. if you have a multimeter, check the battery's voltage. above 4.0 means it's charged, under 3.8 and it's discharged. Anything outside that range and it's fucked. Also I think there may be some related setting in luma's menu
3. Do you have any experience with electronics, opening them up, fixing them, soldering? If so fixing a power button is nothing. You could easily extend the two wires and put an external button on there with hot glue, but it won't be pretty.
If no experience, just take it to a hobby electronics or videogame repair store, they'll know what to do
>>
>>549523358 (me)
I meant 3.2 volts lower range not 3.8
>>
It's not possible to play echoes on switch right? I don't want to dig out my wii
>>
>>549523358
Thanks for the reply.
I've booted up my 3DS with the SD card taken out in the past, so I don't think that's the case. I'm a complete idiot with electronics and working with tools in general, so I don't think I could do that. Even unscrewing the back cover of the 3DS was tough for me lol. I can try and see if I have a multimeter somewhere around here.
>>
>>549524539
emunand and boot things are old hax, so you probably have the latest stuff if you booted before without an sd
>no experience
I'd suggest the repair shop then, if it really is just the power button it shouldn't be too expensive to fix

>>
>>549540886

>>

November, I used an intermediary since I was lazy. I paid 120 USD for a 9.00 firmware PS4 pro. Great condition, came in original box and everything. Always buy JP Sony shit. The controller is ass, but the console itself is pristine.

>>
What update does the switch 2 come with out of the box and what firm do you need to play metroid or kirby? Can I play both without updating? And the latest for switch 2 is 21.1.0 like switch right?
>>
>>549547619
>What update does the switch 2 come with out of the box
Depends on when it was made. You might get a box from near-release with the older firmware, or you might get a more recent box that also comes with a more recent firmware from the factory.
Keep in mind that S2's "first" update can only play one or two games, because they were keeping it locked down until release day, so if you somehow get one from release day, you'll have to update it.
>Can I play both without updating?
Kirby probably runs on some older updates, but the DLC probably bumped that up. Metroid needs something more recent (maybe not the latest, but probably the previous version or the one before that)
>>
>>549548735
By kirby I meant the only actual new kirby game like the literally nothing Switch 2 update.

The most unforgettable horror porn game I've ever played. No other game had a bunch of elementary schoolers gangbang a teenage girl against a wall. And the teenage girl loved it. No other game I've played had a 17 year old bishonen guy drink a 14 year old girl's piss and chase her down the hall to rape her, only to wind up getting anally raped by a 32 year old fat man. I still remember the scene where a 16-17 girl was hiding under a bed as her same age best friend was having sex with that same 32 year old fat guy on top. She heard every moan, bed shake and sound. In the wrong end she was discovered under the bed by her friend and made to join. A most terrifying scene was when an unwilling girl relives another girl's sex memories. The girl in the memory consented but the reliving girl didn't. It didn't matter that she was mentally screaming, her body in the memory did all the motions and actions as in history. It's like mind control rape except the victim was fully aware. Another scene the same girl and a friend were almost raped in a magic sex ritual, saved by the girl's older sister, and the backlash made the older sister want to rape her younger sister and friend.

The loli in this pic is freakishly lewd and once disguised herself as a teenage girl, fucked a boy until he nearly came, transformed back saying
>You thought you were having sex with a highschooler weren't you? I'm an elementary schooler all along!
And leglocks that boy, forcing him to cum inside her unprotected, when he screams in fear upon learning this. This isn't even getting into the tentacles, the gay sex, the lesbian sex, the incest, the sequel's mother/daughter lesbian scene, etc. The first chapter alone contains lots of lesbian sex scenes with an unavoidable girl masturbating in the bathroom. Truly horror is intrinsically connected with sexuality.

Hi! I wanted to ask what the current recommended method is for installing PS1 games on a PS2 with an internal HDD. I’m using a FreeMCBoot memory card to soft-mod my console, and for PS2 titles I’m currently using PS2 HDL Batch Installer to load games onto the drive.

What is the modern or preferred workflow for adding PS1 (POPStarter) games to the HDD? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
>>

What are you asking?
How to run PS1 games on a PS2?
It's literally the same way as running a PS2 game.
How to add PS1 games on the PS2?
I have mine in my local network so I use an FTP program.
>>
Is there a custom DNS recommended for use with a hacked PS4 before going online? I don't plan to play games online, but I'd like to be able to use ftp or similar with it and have my clock stay accurate.
Also is there anything like FBI/Awoo's network install feature for PS4 games or do I need to put games on a flash drive or send them over ftp and then do a local install?
>>
>>549634621
I want to play PS1 games on my fat PS2 directly from the internal HDD. I’d like to understand the full process for transferring PS1 games to the drive and getting them to run on the console. Basically, I’m looking for the general workflow for playing PS1 titles on a PS2 using an HDD and FMCB. I don’t have a network adapter, so my only way to access the drive is through a SATA-to-USB adapter. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

PFS-BatchKit-Manager makes things a million times easier once you get the hang of it. It handles everything, including POPs games, which are added as APP shortcuts in latest OPL.
>>
>>549652027
i'm pretty sure they apply to anything and most importantly to title override, as that was the way to access the memory that is now being limited by nintendy
though i don't think homebrew apps are breaking because of it, iirc most of what's affected is just game mods or anyway something that runs on top of a switch game. Title redirect isn't running the game underneath, it just hijacks it to access more ram than what the system would give to homebrews run from the album's homebrew channel

Why does my FMCB card have multiple versions of OPL
Are there compatibility issues with newer ones or something?

Title redirect has access to all the RAM, right? Because Atmosphere's release notes say it's only 10MB less, that's why I thought applet mode would be more affected than title redirect. After reading them again, I see that it says it's 10MB less for system modules, maybe I'm missunderstanding it and it doesn't really affect homebrews beyond the need to recompile them? Thanks for the explanation though

>Only Japanese payment methods allowed in eShop
>Non-JP Game Key Cards and eShop cards can not be used
Not restricted:
>Regular cartridges
>JP key card and eShop card activation outside of Japan
>Online play with active subscription (payable with JP eShop card)

So getting the console, a few games and eShop cards on a trip to Japan would be worth it. Importing one would be kinda silly though. Also resale value would be non-existent unless you can hack it into an international version without getting ding dong bannu'd.
>>
>>549744116
Oh yeah, also the International version is very rare at retailers and is more expensive than outside of Japan (except if you order it through Nintendo's website, from which it takes several weeks to ship.)

Ignore the tards. There's plenty to do besides the obvious playing the (almost) entire switch library for free. You can use mods, cheats for 60 fps or getting shit in-game. Amiibo emulation so you don't have to purchase $60 plastics with 5 cent NFC tags. LAN-Play for playing popular switch games "online" with others with hax (bypassing ninty servers so you don't get banned).
There's also stuff not so Switch related like using Android or Linux on your console, but it's not the greatest experience yet. Instead you could use Moonlight to stream you PC games to your Switch.
Generally there's also plenty of homebrew apps and games to do basic device stuff like playing media, FTP, homebrew app store, installers, helpers for games, etc. You could also you use something like Mission Control to use any Bluetooth controller on your Switch
A nice thing you can do as well is make an emunand and keep it at a lower firmware to avoid a few bugs added in later versions. You can patch games to work with the lower firmware so there's no downsides to this

>LAN-Play for playing popular switch games "online" with others with hax
Oh that's cool. I thought with a hacked Switch any online play was impossible.
>>
>>549783776
If you set up an emunand for piracy then your sysnand can remain legit like any other unhacked Switch too, technically.
>>
>>549783776
A reminder though that the player base is pretty small. If you want to play with people you have to message the lan-play discord and ask people to hop on and play with you. If you make a lobby and just hope randoms show up, it's not likely. Then again, switch online is pretty dead except to probably mario kart, splatoon, and smash.

Alright, my jig arrived for my Switch. Finally turned on my Switch for the first time. Matches the serial number and everything so I know it's a v1 unpatched Switch.
However the current FW is 20.4.0. What's the hackable firmware?
>>
>>549831304
Firmware is irrelevant if the hardware version is unpatched so don't worry about that. It only matters in the first few days of release of a new firmware, as it takes time to update hax software. Just don't update firmware as soon as it's available and you'll be fine
>>
>>549841590
Thanks bro. I left my Switch to charge so I'll do the whole hacking thing in a couple of days. Work has been busy because of the holidays. Hope it's worth it.

I'm posting this as a last ditch effort, because I haven't been able to find answers anywhere else.

I'm trying to play Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on a modded New Nintendo 2DS XL. Problem is, it gets softlocked after creating a new savefile. Just a fade to black and total unresponsiveness. I'm using a thing called an NDS Forwarder to create shortcuts on the 3DS's menu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'm glad that shit like this still happens, also doubly glad it's companies' own tardness at not easily allowing stuff like mods that leads to shit like this happening

What do you mean? If you're using ublock, check your settings. I recently had issues going to nxbrew on my main browser, while other ones worked fine, and it was because I had accidentally changed a blocking setting for the site
If you're talking about having to jump through all the download links, check out an extension called FastForward (https://fastforward.team/ inb4 "nigga-i-aint-clickin-that-shit.jpg", just google it then), it skips a bunch of the link bullshittery that these sites love to do.

>>549865674
Check if you need to AP Patch it, some games need that and there are places that only provide the unpatched roms.

Do I use DBI to install games or is there a better option? It's in Russian and the English version that was linked in the github is like 3 years old.
>>
>>549937539
>the English version that was linked in the github is like 3 years old.
It still works fine according to other anons here, and it was the last version before the dev went full schizoid and started to go "teehee, the program might have some bricking code, who knows when I'll make it go off :^)"
>>
>>549937539
DBI is the best option, but don't use the Russian one. Get the old English version linked here >>548129515 (it's newer than the one in the github). You don't need anything new as installing things to your Switch was figured out ages ago and there's no real improvement nowadays
>>
>>549938083
why would he do that?

Nevr hacked a Switch before.
The latest Atmosphere says it has support for 21.1.0. Does that mean I need to update my switch to 21.1.0 or does Atmosphere work for all firmware BELOW 21.1.0? I've only ever hacked a Sony console and they pretty much always recommend to stick to certain firmware version. My Switch is 20.4.0 so is it okay to use the latest Atmosphere/Hekate/etc.?
>>
>>549942012
You can use the latest atmosphere on older version, you don't have to be on the latest. It's actually recommended right now to be on a lower fw and you can patch games to work for your version >>548129921

Having trouble getting a custom 3DS theme music BCSTM to work.
Tried all the usual stuff (trimmed to 36s, mono, 16000 Hz, under 3.3 MB, works in Anemone3DS preview but not on Home Menu).
Other BCSTMs work fine.
Here’s my trimmed WAV: https://files.catbox.moe/746mn1.wav
...and the full version of the WAV as well: https://files.catbox.moe/wdnhob.wav

Anyone able to convert it or know what’s up?
