Thats pretty bad since most dangerous enemies are either elite armored and AP infantry, monstrous heavy cav or monsters. Case in point: Chosen (shields) needs 5-6 huts to kill a single Swordmaster depending on armor rolls. A Chosen (GW) is guaranteed to 2-shot it. Against your typical can opener elite infantry GWs deal roughly 3x the damage of shielded variant. The shield alone isnt worth the AP loss by endgame where most of your enemies will be armored. Also the GW's high armor gives good enough protection from chaff arrows, and many gunpowder units have Shieldbreaker, further reducing benefit of shields.

Genuinely, what are y'alls favorite campaigns in wh3? Thorek and Taurox were my favorite in wh2. Nothing has really lived up to those in wh3 for me.

Archaon campaign is legit shit. By the time turn 30 rolls around, all will to play just evaporates. Mot even collecting the other LL's save it, because they're all high level by the time you get them robbing you of any progression with them.

I kinda doubt she did the ol' "let enemy conquer friend - conquer enemy" pipeline of absorbing terriroty.Also Tyrions AI is broken in certain updates, you might've started a campaign during one of those.Reminds me of a Zhatan campaign I had where chaos conquered everything except the empire and badlands.and also every dwarf faction, even minor ones, prospered ridiculously and survived to turn 100.

Is K8P the single most valuable settlement? The whole province really. I can't think of anything else coming close except Nagashizzar for vampires maybe.

In WH2 getting the SoK and a few good items and I could do stupid stuff like solo all his story missions.Of course you can always get the other LLs and play to their strenghts and even a generic beasmen army seperate from him if you want a challenge and change of pace. I had tons of fun with just taurox stomping on one side of the map while strugguling with two average armies on the other side.
