Weapons are balanced in such a way where they have envelopes of effectiveness and if you're not using them in that envelope you're simply not being efficient. I suspect the spirit of his argument has everything to do with positioning and aim but the truth is that weapons do impact the outcome of a fight, particularily between two equally skilled opponents engaged in a fair fight. A lot of the arguments regarding weapon balance in this game aren't entirely meritless either, particularily when comparing some of the weaker offerings, but a lot of the complaining is straight cope, you can make anything work if you're sneaky enough.
