Alright guys, I just finished off the Hollywood sewers. Wasn't actually as bad as people say, it's ok when you are let up to the surface to farm a little blood and fire off those blood strikes at the enemies.

What were they even thinking with the armor system in DOS2. They let you design your own classes and have as much build variety as you want but unless you go all in on physical or magical you're just dragging out so many fights. On top of that elemental combos are a thing but most elements not only don't combo together but actively make each other worse.They somehow accidentally made the first rpg I've played where the most meta party possible is 4 guys who all do the same thing.

Elemental arrows are treated as magical damage, so your high dps Ifan or other archer can just put on some fire arrows and blast the shit out of the enemy. So you could have the archer open with water arrows, and the slower caster can call down lightning bolts for your stunlock, or vice versa if the caster somehow goes first.And then as a general thing, you could just have your wizards destroy the magic armour so the archer can spam the OP as fuck Charm Arrows and sit back and watch the enemies fight themselves. Or have Sebille dance around the enemies with the Captain set. You kind of need to go out of your comfort zone of "lame-o swords vs lame-o arrows" in order to see what the system offers.But yeah, being stuck going for only one type of armour is stupidly bad design. But once you stick to one or the other, there are a lot of ways to do shit.

I mostly played with others before this solo run, and there was always somebody casting Twinned Banishment in every Elemental fight. We sat around waiting out the timer ONCE. Second time onwards, it was just Twinned Banishment -> finish fight -> end Banishment early -> win. I always thought that it trivialised the fights way too much because it was a guaranteed double kill every time. If they're supposed to come back, then the game might just be bugged or something.Plus, those Acid vials they drop are toooootally valuable. It would be wrong of me to waste good loot. :^)
