Doesn't rokket have good cards outside of Savage? The spells for Riot and Furious make them wall ED monsters and Borreload can't be targeted and can't be destroyed if you IP it (which you can because DARK "lock"). Exploderokket got an extender with Speedburst from Trader, Absorouter doesn't even need to be destroyed and Striker is the Link-1 special. And if you add a single Recharger to the deck you can search it with Absorouter to have a reborn from hand during your opponent's turn outside of a sudden Super Poly into Five-Headed or Trishula specifically.This isn't even considering Skill 3 that can just let you have Riot Turn 1 or Borrelsword Turn 2 for free.

I hate Rush duels so much. I grinded 86 Rape points so I'm definitely getting all the Stage 1 gems for NY speed box off NPCs and a Chronicle set I'll never, ever use from Stage 2 by getting top 10000 from 4 wins.I can only imagine that Rush cards that add any amount of consistency or joy are paper only. Viable control is limited to 2 trap cards and a Limited archetype while everyone tries to go second so they can OTK before getting OTK'd. Skill design is even more fucked than Speed with skills fixing your hand AND activating as extension so that you activate your skill to combo into your skill. My favorite part of yugioh was always not interacting with my opponent unless it's a solar ecplise on a Tuesday during a leap year.

Gravity Bind for (most) fusions and Destroy 2 with extra steps is barely above beatdown but it doesn't feel as brainless as Spellcasters or Maximum draw. Yamiruler's tribute blocking doesn't actually matter so I pretty much just summon him when I can go into the fusion and Kimeluna is actually just a beatstick in disguise with the skill. At first I thought Aquas were interesting because of the draw power but then it turned out they just OTK with stat boosts. I don't feel bad saying that Rush's card pool has issues with my no-gem-investment ass because for every Yuga I see put 2 Fusions on the field I see a Yudias brick because he didn't open Startar Leo to mill his ace.
