Im not sure if I'm the only one on this but after working with both for a long while, and frequently switching for the other... I think I like Gemini 3.0 more for the actual chat, and Claude 4.5 (Sonnet & Opus) more for planning ideas.To me, when I use Gemini to plan, ideas come out super milquetoast / full of classic AI-isms. Where Claude for example found it better that a story didn't have a villain (as the focus was characters, and war was a backdrop), Gemini fell back to wanting a more "classic" villain instead. When it came to planning, Claude seems to be far more proactive and even going beyond what I asked, which, when planning, I appreciate.This seems to reverse when actually writing / roleplaying. I usually use the LLMs to have them create a full fledged scene based on my prompt: i.e. I type "Mary walked to his house", but the AI fills the scene up with moments I want, dialogue etc. While Gemini seems to follow this more closely, Claude often seems to try to "fix" my intentions, especially with thinking. When I leave thinking on Gemini however, it seems to actually gain strength from it and further refine what I want, without losing its vision (too much).Wanted to see if anyone else has similar, or opposite experiences.
