I've been thinking. Canto 6 is good because it has actual stakes and loss (rare in the notoriously no stakes plot of PM games). Canto 7 Sancho already lost her family and was just playing catchup. I wondered why didn't Bari and Sancho just go together and put them out of their misery, but Bari must have realised that Sancho is actually a really weak retard and if Bari just solo'd Sancho would remain a worthless pathetic manchild forever. Like someone from itt. Hence the convoluted contrived plot of getting Sancho on the therapy bus.This just isn't really all that good a story though so it is weaker than it's predecessor canto 6.

I just finished canto 8 today and I think it's the best canto yet. It was a lot of fun except for the lei heng fight, which had great cutscenes anyway. I really like what they did with the mid canto dungeon. The coin collection made actually hitting all the nodes worth something.
