Vote for your boys, mock the losers.https://strawpoll.com/61gD95EQOZw
xth for damn this game is gorgeous
>>548620454Glad you're liking it, piratefag. Understand that all the griping in this general comes from people with 1000+ hours who see all the cracks in the walls in the end-game Absolute+ content.
>>548620559Yeeeeeah, well aware of it. I don't think I'll be giga sweaty like you lads, but I'm definitely buying the game.
>>548620387All Tzeentch needed to do was give every human a demonic dragonoid wife who's nerdy and into books and he'd have won aeons ago.
>>548620629nta, but if SM2 does one thing superbly are the visuals, graphic design boys have (for the most part) really been nailing it. Shame about the music because it sticks out like a sore thumb, it's so lackluster.Anyway I hope you'll enjoy it Brother!
nth for Primaris helm is a chinlet and that's why it looks bad.
>>548620450>Someone voted for either of the Salamander packsEw
I think people who say the campaign was “okay” or “mid” underestimate just how much of an impact this scene had on normalfags
>>548626312>Brothers in a desperate last stand against impossible oddsIt literally calls to the spirit of man.
>>548626312I'm a DoW1 secondary and i've enjoyed it. It's like what Ghost was supposed to be for StarCraft. Wish there were way more tyranids to actually fight in the level, more 3 way fights and ebin higher scale 1-+ marine like in the last portion.
>>548626312That and the dreadnought cameo were standout setpiece moments and by far the most talked-about parts of the campaign, and they were awesome, but they were also essentially cinematics where you were pressing buttons but really just along for the ride. I struggle to give too many points for that, and I also have trouble recommending such a short campaign (unless, as in Anon's case, the person isn't paying for it). Never in a million years would I recommend somebody actually buy SM2 for the campaign. I enjoyed it but it's a little treat/introduction to multiplayer more than anything else.
>>548628164Your standards are far higher than the average normie then For them the campaign is worth buying off of that alone
>>548626312My only issue with the campaign is that it's so short and ends abruptly. I finished it in one sitting, more or less. If one were to pay full price for this game purely for the campaign, it's not worth it, even though the campaign is very well done and I liked it.
>>548626238most likely the guy who posted a screenshot of wearing the gimp mask. ngl, that's some dedication to the act.
>>548628164If I were to recommend someone buy space marine 2, it would specifically be for the campaign. It's still fun and has cool setpieces, despite using grey level balance weapons.PvP is worthless, siege is trash and operations are kinda shit to be tee bee aych. And this is someone who has all classes leveled, all armor / heraldry / colors unlocked, all weapons capped and all PvE ordeals done.
Some of the Heroic weapons have very inconsistent behavior against Chaos. The power fist only gives a free gunstrike about half the time, and the heavy pistol does not always stop reinforcement calls.
>>548623914I really wish the beakie had the thinner lenses on the Aquila helm, but both still look way better than the Primaris helm.
>>548620450Voted for beakie. I love them so much bros...

Saw this game on sale. Is it worth the money? Used to be pretty invested in Vermintide 2 and less so on Darktide. How is this game compared to those two. Does it still receive regular updates?
>>548637540It just got another big update. It gets one every 2ish months.Game is more like if Gears of War and Batman Arkham fucked. If you've played either, you'll get the comparison. All the meat and bones is in the PvE co-op mode.
>>548637540A good game marred by being saddled with some insanely bad gameplay and design decisions. Every update is one step forward and another one back. The animation department carries the whole thing, updates are usually>okay so they added the bare minimum of a good new thing>they also made some retarded balance change or introduced a new major bug that fucks up something else to be just a tad worse than it used to be>new execution animation fucks hard though, nice
Does overcharge work on the chainsword?
>>548638939>>548639305Do you have to finish the story mode in order to play PvE co-op? Also how grindy is the game? One thing i hate about Darktide is their itemization. It's like playing a slot machine.
>>548640421>Do you have to finish the story mode in order to play PvE co-op?No, but Operations 1-5 and #8 are narratively important to the main story, if you care about that.
>>548640421It's one tutorial mission and one regular one to unlock co-op. No random drops, but you do need to level each class and prestige it and level more, buy + grind weapons.
>>548640421Yeah, you can skip the campaign but on the off chance you're interested in the story the PvE missions will spoil it. As for equipment there's no loot machine, everything you see in the menu is what you get, including weapon mastery for every piece. Invest in unlocking weapon masteries as they persists throughout leveling process (which is useful when you get to grinding prestige which resets you every 25 levels). If you're looking to level long range weapons you can start by grinding tactical since he's got access to the majority of arsenal. When it comes to leveling melee I'd recommend Bulwark.
>>548640874>>548640978>>548640993Alright im sold. I assume all the paid DLCs listed on steam are all cosmetics right?
>>548643773Yeah, it's all Barbie doll dress-up stuff, but if you're into 40K and like the game, they become pretty mandatory. The base selection of cosmetics is pretty limited.
>>548644196>The base selection of cosmetics is pretty limitedReally? That's kinda a bummer. But I guess they have to make money at the end of the day
>>548645692Yeah I wanna say it's 10ish parts per section of your body. Helmets and shoulders leaning more into 15-20 since they get all the focus. You want a clean beakie? Raven Guard pack. You want to look more like a Blood Angel? Better pony up.Considering the other GW games, this one is pretty cheap in terms of cosmetics. When you factor in Darktide charges $20 for one costume, and this game charges you $40 for like 30+ parts.
>>548645692Unlike sharttide this game looks great and you dont even need to get every single cosmetic pack just get what you want for your favorite chapter.
>>548647332I'm actually fine with looking like a basic bitch in this game, all the extra bits kind of repulse me desu
>>548649594sigma as fuck.
>>548649594>11 updates>chapter symbol still wrong
>>548649853even official GW publications use the wrong symbol. you ain't getting dow1 decal anytime soon.
>>548649962Nah they use the right ones
>>548650126nice, i wonder if that was chosen by the guy who painted it for them, or was it a conscious decision at GW.
>>548647332>>548648440Thanks for all the help. One last question: where can i play with anons from this general?
>>548651050>where can i play with anons from this general?that's the neat part.
>>548651050You can always >post a codeAnd there's a steam group (in the OP) where anons sometimes can get people to play with them.
>>548621958Thank you and yeah, the game is pure sex. It's the first time I play a game that requires so much, and it runs so damn smooth with no stuttering or low FPS. Feels great, man.
>>548650808That's from the stupid Onslaught board game/book
>Hard Vox>5 missile Terminators dropAh, thank you for reminding me why I don't play hard Chaos strats.
>>548651506I think that's also the symbol they're using in DOW4.Not sure why they changed it. I don't dislike it but I still prefer the OG.
Got Sniper to Prestige for the fist time, picked the ammo regen on secondary kill.Which class to level next, Tactical or Heavy gunner?
>>548649594bring back massive shouldersprimarisissies look so weak in comparisonand don't even get me started on how gay phobos armor is
>>548653045They really need to make their missiles dodgeable, and make ranged enemies in general stop spamming their guns in your face and switch to melee more when you're meleeing them.
>>548655390That sounds like something reasonable and potentially evening the odds, therefore it won't be done. Otherwise SM2's director wouldn't be able to sleep for a month.
>>548654085>bring back massive shouldersprimarisissies look so weak in comparisonSeriously, the first time I put the mark VII helm on I thought it looked ridiculously out of proportion
>>548654085>>548656496Shoulders were slimmed down specifically for stuff like video games so it's easier to animate.
>>548656619Less clipping that way.
>>548654085>massive shouldersI wouldn't mind Saturnine armor even if it's just for laughs.
>>548656619It worked fine for video games for literal decades.
>>548657485if you didnt mind clipping, yeah
>>548657485Because animators stuck to the limitations of what they could do without major clipping, so most melee attacks didn't go over the head if at all. Space Marine 2's execution animations do a lot of things that would have looked really bad in SM1.
>>548657006I wanna see this dude roll
>>548657843>>548657891There's still plenty of clipping in this game, it makes things look worse and does not solve the problem.
>>548657843>he says while even in the idle position, many shoulders just clip through power packs or the chest armor in SM2uh huh
>>548660017In terms of the cosmetics, yeah there's tons. The devs can't make up their mind on what is and isn't allowed because of "clipping" and then give Phobos-pattern classes access to Gravis shoulders that slams into the power pack. But the animations are all really nicely done on a bog standard Astartes, and what clipping does exist is very cleverly hidden. The best example I can think of is the power fist execution where you lift the Warrior over your head and then rip it in half. In order to actually send the arms sideways like that, the shoulders clip and twist pretty badly, but the animation put a ton of work into hiding it both by using the Warrior to obscure the view, and making it happen near-instantly.
>>548658650It's not as terrible as one would think actually:https://youtu.be/8GuOZd7w7SY?t=278He does a roll at the astra militarum camp.
>>548660338That armor looks incredibly strange from a side angle, like rotating a two dimensional image horizontally.
>>548660724It looks weird and clips in many places but even if it falls flat I can respect that people have the will and time to do something like this.
Is Techmarine going to be another melee+pistol class, or is it going to get 2-handed rifles as well.
>>548655390It's weird what animations they decide to make immune to stagger. I don't understand why they can't be staggered out of missile barrage by anything.
>>548661319Confirmed he has primaries, I know I saw the Auto Bolt Rifle, Heavy Bolt Rifle, Occulus, Plasma Exterminator (NOT Incinerator) and I think the Melta Rifle.
>>548661319Here's everything that's been leaked on Telorian, including his loadout.
>>548620125Isn't it a bit on the nose that the Roman space marine chapter sends a man named Titus to fight Tyranids?
>>548662717you can tell it's a retard who did surface level research because we all know this is actually grotz, but then again it's telling that a kike views itself as the most ugliest alien species in that universe
>>548662198>he's gonna get the power axeNice.I thought he was only getting the omnisian axe. So he's practically confirmed to have a strong melee game right off the bat. That's great. The omnisian axe will hopefully be good, but you never know. After the power axe dropped, it took Saber fucking three months to get the block variant to work with power stance, the whole point of using it in the first place.I wonder what the O axe's moveset and gimmick will be.
>>548668498Well I only got the finishers/movements to work if this is of any interest to you Brother:https://streamable.com/9g6xx5
>>548670485It is. Thank you, brother.
post yfw it's a vortex stratagem
Just give tactical the power sword and axe already, Saber, you fucks.Just fucking do it already. Goddamnit.I love the new cosmetics on tac, but I'm sick of the chainsword. Also did they nerf the chp recovery on the pyreblaster from PTS? Doesn't seem to recover chp like PTSfags were hyping.
>>548676760
Can someone explain flamers to me? I play an entire mission with absolutely no clue how well I'm utilising it and then find out at the scorescreen that I've done a gorillion damage. The only obvious thing I can see is that the DoT stacks
>>548678274I miss glowing eyes effect...
>>548631890How did they all fit in that place?
>>548612235Battle Sisters
>>548678660You just make sure the shit you're flaming fully glows orange, then you start meleeing it or going for headshots with your bolt pistol or something while the DOT from the flames does its job. It's simple. That's why the pyreblaster's fucking nuts. It does really good damage automatically, so your hands are free to use your other weapons simultaneously with the already great DOT. Plus now the DOT recovers chp, so you can recover chp passively from just leaving enemies on fire.Mainly same reason we're speculating that techmarine's gonna be strong as fuck when he releases. Being able to use weapons simultaneously seems to be his main schtick.
>>548678660>>548680301Btw. So yeah, you want to build your perks for DOT as much as possible basically.Don't worry about direct damage with the blaster.
>>548680541Thanks

Function > Form in this case.
>>548698983yeah the default key for parry being C kinda sucks ass
>>548698983This except dodge is space and aim is ctrl.I also don't use lock on.
If the assault is so bad, why do I see so many people playing assault?
>>54868653590% of every video is him reading the tooltips, which I suppose is a valuable service to somebody somewhere. He shits out multiple repetitive videos per day, declaring everything he tries ''THE BEST!" in a mad scramble to get views. Soon he will have a video for every conceivable weapon/perk combo in the game and they'll all coincidentally be The Best. He plays with bots by himself so everything is weighted towards that.
does the "killing a majoris restores 10% ammo" on the multimelta need to be done with the melta out or do pistol kills count tooalso trying to adjust to heavy's parry window after hours of bulwark is painful, christ
since the patch, I often get the yellow or red bad ping symbol in the upper-right, even though everybody's ping is fine and there's no noticable lag.
>weekly>finally reach the train station after 2 hours of dying>disconnectedI give up
Assuming I don't play assault, what weapons in the store are worth buying?
>>548696905Nah I don’t even run it on BulwarkIf you wanna sit in front of a Soulreaper Terminator for 30 seconds to get a free banner be my guest but I’d rather just force him into melee with a shield bash and move on
>>548705770Plasma is fantastic.
>>548705842zamn, just started my 2nd prestige with that perk
>>548700263Lock on is useful for weapons with long wind-up on their heavies like the Thunder Hammer or Powerfist to make sure you actually hit what you intend to hit and not do a complete 180 to pulverise some poor hormagaunt biting at your ankles. It's pretty fucking bad beyond that considering it inexplicably turns your backstep into a frontstep and forces the camera towards whatever you're locked on to, even if you're trying your hardest to look elsewhere. Lictors really exacerbate that last issue with how much they move around.
>>548700946Because "bad" in this context simply means "not as good". Storm's Dominion is a crowd control rapist on him and I was even having some success running the heroic Chainsword last night.
>>548621958>Shame about the music because it sticks out like a sore thumb, it's so lackluster.Yep, it's a lost art for some composers and fucking companies skimp on music as if it's an afterthought. Well, it's not. They just need Jesper Kyd from Darktide to do the OST for SM3 and it'll already be on par with the best titles of the past.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wX2fGLCd5vY
>>548700946Cause he's actually pretty fun and strong at this point, despite the neglect compared to other classes' support history. You can build your ground pounds to be devastating. You can build your gunstrikes to be devastating. The jump dash build is devastating. You can build your running attacks to be pretty devastating, which pairs well with the overhead strike on the axe. Second best melee weapon in the game now, and probably the future best melee weapon in the game once the fist gets nerfed, which Saber confirmed they plan to do.
>>548709807so are the elite fists good?
>>548705770Burst bolt pistol, Plasma Incinerator, and the green sword.
>>548711104Like relics?Yeah. The relic block fist iirc is thee strongest melee weapon in the game if you build for charge attacks. Like by a lot.The new heroic fist isn't as strong, but nothing is, and every type of melee weapon's strong enough to be worth using imo. Heroic fist lets you actually do damage with the fists' light attacks, the charge attacks are still very good, and the free gunstrikes off of executions gimmick is good. Especially if you use assault and build for gunstrikes.Plus it comes with fencing, which is rare for heroic melee weapons, so you got reliable parries, and even more gunstrikes.
Is Las Fusil still the best choice? Grinding Sniper and I enjoy the weapon it so I was curious what the best options are.
Explain me the parry system, am I supposed to not be getting gunshots when doing perfect parries?
>>548714397sir not all parry gaved gun
>>548714397Block removes parryBalanced has parryFencing has parry but longer window
Is it worth picking back up? I took a break after Siege came out, but I feel like I'm too far behind to get back in to it.
>>548714809>>548715332sorry, I mean gunstrikes.Only perfect dodges activate the gunstrike QTE?
>>548714397Block weapons don't give gunstrikes.Balanced has really tight timing I think.Fencing is the easiest, but some enemies have melee combo chains that only give you gunstrikes on particular swings, so you may have to parry multiple times, or at particular times even with fencing, yes it's retarded. If you can get some time to watch when the whip terminids hits and parries count you'll start to understand it a bit better I think.
>>548717487Chaos spawns are extra retarded, I still haven't quite figured them out, but they're compounded by almost always spawning in huge groups even without "massive waves."
>>548717487Balanced doesn’t have really tight timing, Block does. Balanced has the same middle and end frames as Fencing, but it has bad start-up frames. I’m trying to find that graphic that shows them visually but I can’t find it.
>>548708340Saber making Storm's Dominion work on ground pound was the most intelligent decision they made in a long time, but it probably only happened because people kept asking for it. Otherwise the HTH would have been infinitely better on Bulwark.
>Finish the weekly>stuck forever on the victory loading screenThis never happened before
>>548682605Your average player has dumped 200+ hours and they still suckNoobs get filtered by the melee, just stick to Fencing for 100 hours
>>548714397Saber nerfed gunstriking back in patch 8-9It doesn't automatically give gunstrikes anymore, it has to be perfect
>>548719002Eh, yes it does? Doesn't matter when or where you parry, a parry is a parry. Some combo strings require parrying the second attack specifically, but they all give gunstrikes.
I'm on an RTX 3060, is this game killing my PC?
>>548719002Incorrect
>>548719154This is correct, its different for each type of enemy. For instance, you will only get gunstrike at the end of a Ravener's 3-string combo. Same thing with Lash Warriors' whip combo.
>>548722004That’s one reason I like block so much I don’t have to wait for the Ravener to finish his combo, once he swings twice it’s my turn to fuck his ass
Do you guys bother with the hard stratagems?
>>548723848I did everything even though I maxed out via a trainer
>>548723848Only if the conditions are favorable enough. Maybe I should try them solo, lot of people that don't read the damned things or just play like shit in general.
>>548723848I try not to give a fuck about the daily stratagems because I don't want to get sucked into the engagement hamster wheel, but I do try to do the weekly ones.
>>548723848Hard weeklies? Yes.Hard Tyranid dailies? Yes.Hard Chaos dailies? Fuck right off.
>>548723848I do them all yeahI have all my classes and every weapon fully maxed so I like bringing different loadouts and adapting I’ve completed every single hard weekly so far, and one or two of them have actually been unfun
>ground pound damage got uncapped for assault>I am now losing armor because the majoris+ enemies are just dyingT-thanks
>>548726040Good time to try the Heroic Piddler Fist, anon. It scales back the damage and poos gunstrikes.
>>548723848There are certain conditions I will not do on Hard. Friendly fire, dodging hurts you, regen disabled if you are together/split up. They are not fun, they are not good or creative ideas, they penalize people for playing the game how the game trained them to play it.There aren't enough rewards to justify doing the dailies everyday anyway. I skip annoying ones all the time and still have every weapon and only three cosmetics left to purchase.
>>548726316Friendly fire was goated though, I finally got to punish my retard teammates and end runs if they pissed me off
>>548725386Has anyone here completed a hard vortex mission? with randoms?
>>548726925Yeah, had to hard carry as Heavy.Honestly if I don't play Heavy in hard strat pubs, shit always goes south. Heavy needs to know what he's doing or it's just a massive waste or power.
>>548727472>sit behind holding m1>carryhmm
>>548727792It's the Iron Halo + Encompassing Aegis comboEven the best Tacticals die like flies, it's ultra rare to encounter a god-tier Bulwark who will be a team player instead of just shield bashing and rushing far aheadI've encountered a Sniper testing out the heroic BSR but the guy was using his pistol 90% of the time and while he did not die in Exfiltration he didn't do much damage to anything really and had a 5k ranged score and 1k melee score
>>548727792No, not how it works on Hard Strat. For starters, you NEED to be good with balanced parry against triple Extremis, and most retards take additional ammo over the other two perks. Absolute waste.
How the fuck do I play with the fists?
>>548727792Yeah doing 30k+ more damage than both other players combined is carrying, regardless of how you do it
>>548728217how the fuck do I git gud as the bulwark, I just mash, don't even know when to prioritize the shield bash over meleeing
>>548728674>Intimidating Aura>Armored Advance>Ingrain animation cancelling into your fingertips via shield blockingBulwark can cancel fubar'd parry attempts and mid-frame melee attacks by just holding block and then immediately dodging. The character is the safest most free melee winner in the game.
>>548728674Shock grenades on parryIntimidating AuraParry with Fencing power sword or fencing power fistOnly use power rake with sword or charged attacks with fistUse shield to block ranged attacksPlant flag to heal teammates and revive dead ones when they're close to execute
>>548728217I just picked the game up, nearing level 25 (for the first time) with my Bulwark. What would make a "god-tier" Bulwark in your view?
>>548730136Reaching level 25 or max prestige means nothing since you can grind lower levels to get there, it's simply a necessary timesink unless grinding isn't your thing
>>548730136Uses block powerfistActually does damage and tops the melee damage chart Don’t care which type of banner he has, but actually uses it at good moments
>>548731141>Uses block(lol
>>548731291Yeah, block powerfist, you know the universally agreed upon strongest melee weapon in the game?
>>548730348>>548731141Thanks, unless it’s some overactive assault jetting all over I’m usually top of that.I’m guessing it’s not really a viable build to use the thunderhammer in higher difficulty play? Since it undermines the whole point of being the class with the shield and that affects survivabilaty of the group.
>>548731950Nah there’s not much in this game that isn’t viable, you can true solo Absolute with the auto bolt rifle if you’re goodBulkwark has a lot of perks to make Hammer’s dash attacks really good and he can build around that It’s probably not as good as block power fist (nothing really is) and you lose survivability, but it’s absolutely doable
>>548729976>>548728674Counterpoint: Steel Within is an equal if not better perk than shock on parry. Keep in mind>Bulwark innately has +30% health.>Innate damage reduction increases at 50% HP and gets exponentially higher>Steel Within provides an additional +30% damage resistance at <50% HPThe result is Bulwark starts face tanking shit that would outright OHKO other classes.
>>548733713Yeah dropping a shock grenade on parry isn’t really necessary when you have intimidating aura
>>548732796Ah ok, one can’t help but to min-max I guess.Just want to run the weekly stratagems and Siege without too much sweat. But getting a solid group for that together is probably a lot more helpful than a fully optimized build
Am I just bad or hard stratagems are just really difficult?I've been following all your advice and I still get decimated when playing bulwark, like what the fuck am I supposed to do when I have 4-5 chaos spawns/marines on my face? I start panic rolling...
>>548734295Unironically, watch First Tour Guardsman.I know someone is gonna quote me saying>sloptuber fanaticbut the guy has tons of videos on solo Absolute so it's good learning material.
I have ADHD and I fucking love the Heroic Fist>Parry blue circle gaunt>Armor>FREE gun strike>Armor>Pimp slap Majoris>Execute>Armor>FREE gun strike>Armor
>>548718109It's almost like a pre-emptive apology for how pathetic the jetpack dash attack is. Shit, even if it was good I'd still think it'd be moving in the wrong direction for the class. For fucks sake, Assault has a giant jetpack, at least have the ability to bounce around the battlefield like a White Scar on crack be a perk option for him. If I could send Dimitri to the frontlines and take over as director I would:>roll Wings of Flame into Commitment >new Wings of Flame perk: When you kill seven enemies in rapid succession your next jetpack dash is free. Stacks up to three times. Lasts 45 seconds>stack count is shown under health bar and a glow is added to your thrusters so you can tell at a glance when it's proccedThere. Now you have the class fantasy of being the mobile offensive melee class without having too much mobility outside of combat that'd allow you to speedrun ahead of everyone and die alone like a jackass. Would also give Zealous Blow some serious competition in that column and not just "Choose this for gimmick build" and "Literal dogshit".
>>548734295They’re unironically really difficultYou just need a lot more experience with the game to know what to do, what to kill first, how to dodge X, Y, and Z, etc We all had the benefit of being able to sink dozens of hours into Absolute difficulty before stratagems came out so we’re used to it For reference I think like 95% of the playerbase never goes any higher than Ruthless
Do resources have a cap?
>obelisk weekly>we stand as one>larraman cells>depleted armouropinions?
>>548726316>There aren't enough rewards to justify doing the dailies everyday anywayThe lost I suffered on the Vox Liberatus daily last night certainly wasn't worth the potential 15 accolades.>at the Daemonhost, kill like 5 fucking Terminators on my own, both teammates dead>as I'm executing the last one a cultist throws a grenade at my feet with such precise timing that it detonates the MOMENT I'm vulnerable again and I go down>luckily one of my teammates was just two seconds away from spawning in and was able to pick me up>other teammate respawns not long after>and then the game sends six Sorcerers after us, which we actually manage to kill with relatively little difficulty>and then immediately after that, we have what must have been between 10-15 Chaos Spawn show up almost right on top of us>me and the Sniper get frametrapped and stunlocked against a wall and die>we both have to watch the poor Heavy pitifully try to salvage the run but there was no fucking wayThe hard dailies need to reward way fucking more than 15 accolades if this is what they insist on throwing at players. That entire level was a horrible slog of nonstop retarded bullshit the moment we hit the Chaos portion until finally whatever daemonic director is in charge of the enemy spawns in this game decided it just HAD to deny us a reward for our time and effort. I must stress the Terminator, Sorcerer and Chaos Spawn waves were one after the other with no pause in between for us to be able to recuperate or make even a little bit of progress.
>>548734295>what the fuck am I supposed to do when I have 4-5 chaos spawns/marines on my face? When you figure it out, let us know. Otherwise, only fight Tyranids at every opportunity. Chaos is a half-baked piece of shit faction that will never get thr revamp it desperately needs.
>>54873764120 for armoury data, 1000 for accolades, 2000 for requisition.
>>548738072>let us know The rest of us already know how to fight Chaos buddy, speak for yourself
>>548738072so they were not part of the base game?
>get paired with an AFK retard>leave>try to match again>get sent with the same team 4 times in a rowfuck you
>>548738463They were, they just didn’t have Spawn at the start and every one of their Majoris units was a Rubric Marine, so they were much more ranged focus. Many people here hate Spawn because they have (admittedly complex) attack patterns and unless you watch a breakdown video, they’re sort of hard to learn Once you do, they’re not bad though Chaos as a whole leans much more towards ranged damage than melee, so Tactical, Sniper, and Heavy usually do a lot better against Chaos than some of the dedicated melee classes
>>548734295Once upon a time, Ruthless was the hardest thing in the game, and we all sucked. But eventually we got better, learned what worked and what didn’t, and made Ruthless easy. Then Lethal came out and we had to learn all over again, and for a while having the cracked helmet that you got from completing every operation on Lethal was the way people measured if you were good at the game or not. Then Absolute released and the same thing happened again, we learned and adapted. Now hard stratagems are out, and it’s the exact same process. My point is that for a lot of us, hard stratagems are just one rung up on the ladder to climb, but if you’re new you’re trying to climb 4-5 rungs at once and it’s gonna be fucking rough. I’d try and complete almost every operation on Lethal and then again on Absolute before you seriously give hard stratagems a shot.
Is this weekly stratagem a lot easier than the previous one or I just got really lucky with a team?
What do I get first?
>>548740983and here I'm on my third prestige for the bulwark
Is the flamethrower OP? every assault I see is using one
>>548741257
>>548741321Heavy*Pyrecannon*
>>548741257No the Pyrecannon on Heavy is mid, it’s just new The Pyreblaster on Tactical however is truly busted and is perhaps his best weapon
>>548741659The disparity between the two is the hitbox. It's completely fucked on the Pyrecannon.
Does the bolt sniper rifle oneshot Majoris in the head in Absolute?I had a blast blowing up Chaosniggers save for the Chaos Spawn in normal stratagem.
>>548747552The disparity between the two is that Tactical has a chainsword to use when stuff is on fire and Heavy has to smack stuff with his buttstock or stomp the yard
Why are there so many brand-new players in Hard Stratagems. What the fuck do they care about Accolade points when they have everything else in the game to unlock first. You don't have any fucking gun perks but you really really care about getting your Black Templar helmet?I know games need new blood, but I hope every last one of them has a terrible experience, uninstalls the game, and leaves a bad review.
So I've played for 2-ish hours. I think the keybinds for PC suck. I supposed the game was planned to release on console and releasing on PC was more of a afterthought, because the UI and controls were obviously cater to using gamepad.
>>548748539They see cool hard thing to do and jump in because they don’t know it’s actually Absolute+ and Saber doesn’t level lock because they’re fucking retarded I’m usually a Saber defender but them refusing to level lock hard Siege and hard Strats is one of the most flat out retarded decisions I’ve ever seen
>>548747808Heroic bolt sniper only puts bolter rubrics into execute in a single shot at best, everything else usually takes at least two shots.
>>548747847Nah, see, if it didn't have a shitfucked hitbox, the Pyrecannon has like twice the range of the Pyreblaster when in heavy stance. It's just unreliable.
>>548748539>Why are there so many brand-new players in Hard StratagemsProbably because they think they'll rake a ton of XP by leeching off other players. Another thing is what Anon said >>548749174 that Saber should've made it a priority to teach people about the importance of getting to Absolute+ and how to do it. Leaving the modes like hard mode on Siege or Stratagems opens a can of worms that won't be closed until devs realize it's messing with matchmaking balance and mission experience. What's even more baffling they have numbers that show majority of players don't play higher levels so why not lock them behind a level cap or something like that?
>>548738869It's not their movesets that are the issue (although it can be argued that a chaff enemy with three variants probably shouldn't have such elaborate movesets when you can be fighting 10 at once), it's the fact that their wide-sweeping and delayed attacks often overlap to frametrap you. Frametraps are an issue with the game in general, but it's especially pronounced with the Chaos Spawn. They also have the habit of grouping up into an amorphous blob that's hard to read, which when combined with some of their hard-hitting attacks not having indicators will often result in rogue tentacles lashing out at you from the middle of this writhing wall of flesh, clipping through all the other Spawn. Finally, the way indicators are assigned to their attacks that actually do have them is just baffling. It's like Saber forgot the purpose of indicators in the first place was to indicate an attack is eminent and that you need to either dodge or parry NOW (or within the next second at most, like with the Ravener gap closer attack), not within the next three fucking seconds. No matter what you can do to mitigate their shittiness, they're still shit and Warriors mog the everloving fuck out of them in terms of being enjoyable to fight in groups.
>>548750179>I'mma block this wack-ass mixup
>>548750179youre totally right, i cannot handle more than 3 at once, even then its 50/50 if i can get out unscathed or without dying. theyre such a shit enemy to fight in groups.
>>548620450Poll results so far. /sm2g/ has an alright taste. Sans 2 votes for sallys pack. I mean come on.
>>548751175I lik the cape
I don't know why people were sucking off the new Heroic heavy bolter, it's so mediocre. It has the same problem as the other 1-accuracy versions: it can't hit a goddamn thing. With the fencing gimmick, they intend for it to be a close-range weapon, but Heavy has better options for that. Even the Heroic Plasma is better close-up because you it can AoE everything in front of you. Instantly going to full rate-of-fire is also not as cool when you realize that this version has a lower base RoF than the Relic ones. At least it was the last weapon I had to buy.
>hard daily reclamation>no one joins throughout whole run>is alright, sniper is just too survivable>get to coolant reactor>have to switch loadout because bots don't do the objective OR shoot the gaunts interrupting me doing it>takes absolutely forever>finally complete it>suddenly host migration>to no one, since no one is joining>have to redo the second half>still somewhat slow>go back to switch back to real loadout>dodge a venom cannon on the way>suddenly short teleport into getting hit by the shot >cloak to negate damage>knockback sends me into the entrance lift and through the floor>no recourse, only option is to quitIncredible shit
>>548752606People were sucking it off on the PTS when the stats screen showed an accuracy of 4. That would've been incredible, a nice solid upgrade compared to the relic. Seeing it down to 1 on live was an immediate sign it was DoA instead.
>>548752828That makes sense, 4 accuracy would have been great and I would love this thing.
>>548752828>a nice solid upgrade compared to the reliSee, that's the problem with devs mindset. In their minds heroics aren't meant to be UPgrades but SIDEgrades. Which is a retarded idea taken straight from RPG games. Having said that, I'm positively surprised they haven't nerfed the power fist yet somehow with how good it feels. Probably a matter of time though knowing the game director.
>>548754349well, heavy plasma is definitely an upgrade for my carpal tunnel syndrome, i recently played a plasma tac and felt exhausted from holding the button so often.
>>548754349If only they would start understanding what makes some weapons usable. Perhaps the HB would've been fine if it had accuracy 2 or 3, without going all the way to 4.
>>548754349>heroics aren't meant to be UPgrades but SIDEgradesExcept for the InstigatorAnd fencing ThunderhammerAnd balanced PowerswordAnd Heavy Plasma Incinerator
>>548755078>balanced Powersword>upgradeYeah, no. You could argue larger aoe is beneficial but you will never be in a position when you can just spam it and not care about blocking incoming attacks. No way Jose. And fuck balanced weapons.I agree when it comes to TH though. The other ones I haven't tried out.
All the other Champion skins came out with a weapon. What's the Raven Guard Assault going to get, a Chainsword? RG's iconic weapons are Lightning Claws, which aren't in the game.
>>548750179dont play the attacks, some of the moves are significantly stronger than what should be for a majoris, like the succ and the thunderclap are really strong, if you cant escape because the area is too small, its get fucked
>only have the HBP, Heavy Bolter and Gladius left in the accolade shopSo which cosmetic do I buy?
