Chainsaw has two modes of operation: The first is regular melee swings, you swing, it hits a few times, the thing you're hitting dies, you go into a recovery animation, you swing again.The second is for hitting large or persistent targets. You swing and the chainsaw bites into the target, slowly grinding the chainsaw through them until you either lose contact with the hitbox or the target dies. This deals massive damage in the form of many very rapid repeated hits, and quite quickly (within a second, maybe less) goes from medium pen to heavy pen. Once you get a good bite into the side of a charger, for example, the chainsaw stunlocks them into submission letting you carve them up without issue. Also saws off their ass very quickly.

The new shotgun in volley mode does not disappoint, sounds like you're hitting them with a god damn truckOnly 40 shells sucks total ass though, if you decide to use it in volley mode you'll run dry super quick without supply pack or siege ready which kind of sucks and the reload speed honestly isn't great even if you load two shells at a timeEither way I'm pretty satisfied, been wanting a break action you can take into a match for a very long time and this one seems like it'll be actually really good since it can blow up alpha commander heads in one shot

I like the AR, even though you don't get many nades, it's still a nice small boon to build variety. Which a lot of builds I end up feeling pressured to bring the Grenade Pistol or an explosive primary to make up for the lack of HE demo force, this at least lets you have some explosives whilst still letting you bring a nice ballistic primary and any other non-explosive shit you want.The Chainsaw has a very crunchy attack, and I like that the demo force goes up when you connect with objects, allowing you to saw through fences, container doors etc. It's fun.Hot Dog is hot hot hot.Maxipad is meh, a higher DPS MMG that you never have to press R with, but it requires the backpack slot, so it's not really worth it compared to just bringing the MMG with a warp pack or supply pack. It's a big opportunity cost just to not need to reload.
