>>548745203to be entirely fair it was zzz (a hoyo game, but it looked interesting gameplay wise) and im going to be honest i doubt that is known for anything but its porn and CZN (which went through a crazy amount of controversy, but again looked interesting gameplay wise) and it was indeed fun gameplay wise but they were right that the story kind of sucked at a certain point because the writers quite literally changedi think limbus gameplay is ridiculously weak but the problem is that no gacha games ive played has fun enough gameplay where i would play it if i dont care about the story, so the gameplay ends up not matteringi think limbus has the advantage mostly because it is building off two other ACTUAL games and other shit (leviathan, distortion detective and technically wonderlab) that i liked which is absolutely giving it a major advantage for me both lorebuilding wise and bias wise. i think anyone who has played zzz and tried to pay attention to the story can say that its weak at best, and at worst is completely uninteresting and czn kind of got fucked from the writers changingat no point was i enjoying them more than limbus though because of it building on something i already liked, which makes even the simple shit like uptie stories far more compelling to me.limbus also has a fixed cast which is to me a major advantage because honestly i find it very difficult to give a fuck about other gacha game characters when their content is so heavily limited, one of the only other gacha games i semi consistently play is umamusume and thats less because i like the game (i don't care for the gameplay) but more because i like the series and it of course has other shit that isnt a gachai'd be down to try out better ones, just to see but gachas kinda suck generally i think. from what i can tell i like the gachas that have other material/the gacha is just one part to an entire project, because a gacha on its own holds basically no weight to me

You might as well pick up some proper JRPGs or visual novels instead of waiting for the new Canto to drop.
