I just had a thought. Trickcal presents a very strong argument for a new genre or category of media. Like anime is its own class of cartoon. That is, I believe there should be a genre for "chibis with squishy cheeks" or Diyap chibis. It wasn't something I thought about immediately, but when I judge this kind of character design, it just feels so obvious and natural, as if it always made sense. Much like you don't normally question side mouth in anime, it simply just feels natural. That's what this type of chibi feels like. And I sincerely wish it could become a big thing. RGP games, third-person games, fps games, puzzle games, anime, manga, etc, I need more squishy cheeks, everywhere!!!
