Developing two games is too much for GGGI absolutely love GGG and appreciate that they are deeply concerned about our experience. They are so worried about keeping everyone happy, and I believe it is hurting the development of both games. The last POE1 league was underwhelming, and this POE2 league is essentially the druid, which was delayed from the previous league. In an effort to keep both camps happy, we are getting drip-fed content that won't satisfy either side.I don't know what the solution is at this point, as knowing how much GGG cares, they do not want to isolate either group. However, at this pace, I do not see POE2 being completed for a couple of years. There are too many unfinished classes, ascendancies, and other content. I am underwhelmed by today's reveal.

As someone who has killed every pinnacle boss at every difficulty every league, this pack size change was much needed. I know most people in this thread are wondering who asked for pack size reduction but remember that most casual players are probably not browsing this forum. By decreasing the pack size and buffing the loot it allows casual players to have a much better endgame experience while not making loot feel like absolute shit. It also allows GGG to add more ways to scale pack size for the super endgame players in the future to reach similar pack size to previous leagues while adding 40% more loot. Another bonus is your computer won't be heating up your entire house while doing juiced maps (maybe this is a con considering its winter)

I was doing some test runs and as a Cold Stormweaver, I felt I had to use 5 different skills to do no damage outside of snapping frozen enemies. Rares and bosses took forever. Now I'm doing some speed run tests on LA/LS Amazons and the difference is absurd. Like it's like 5 times more damage overall and a third of the effort.

PoE2 should NEVER have had the pack sizes it does. The game was clearly intentionally built to be much higher fidelity with a clear focus in the beginning on more interesting encounters with slower but more rewarding gameplay rather than click boom zoom.But Jonathan turned PoE2 into click boom zoom last minute and released it, inflated all the maps to fit all the copy pasta enemies, fucking with gold to try and make rewards happen.I just wanna play PoE2 (2020) as Chris and Erik intended.

PoE2 has nothing but zerg rush enemies with 2 routines max, dogshit combat, no melee and terrible auto procedural slop 'level design'.Making an ARPG more paced like D1/D2 isn't a bad thing. GGG just clearly had the left hand not knowing what the right hand was doing. They were designing this darker methodical grittier experience where you'd fight fewer tougher mobs who'd drop better rewards and then the other guys in the office added GIG EXTREME EXPLODE SCREEN LIGHTNING SKILL that deleted that entire point so the entire game got screwed up catering for what the zoomrotters in house clearly wanted.
