Pack size and quantity changes might actually be a loot buffIf everything works as presented without any behind the scenes weirdness, this is likely an overall loot buff, perhaps significantly. Pack size never affected the number of rare monsters AFAIK, and most of the loot in a given map ended up coming from rares. If white and magic monsters lose their 40% increase, but rares drop 40% more loot, we'll get significantly more loot overall.This math changes a bit when you consider other sources of monster effectiveness, of course. If you run 3 tablets with 11% effectiveness(see patch notes), then 40% increased effectiveness is only ~30% more effectiveness. Still definitely a buff overall, but given enough stacking sources of this modifier it could tip the other way.The main pain point could be if rare monster mods give inherent effectiveness, in which case maybe this is all a massive nerf lmao.Not saying it's better for the overall gameplay experience, necessarily. I see benefits and drawbacks on both sides here. It shifts balance and probably makes more builds viable overall(anything which couldn't clear screens easily is buffed; anything that relies on propagation or overlaps is worse). Then of course there's the "power fantasy vs meaningful combat" dynamic which players might fall on either side of. But just from a "how much loot I get per map" viewpoint, it might actually ve a pretty big buff.
Reminder that a company does not invest more time into their dying limbs, they would rather reduce funding and let them wither away. Poe2 is here to stay.

What i love the most about poe2 is it's difficulty - casual reporting.What i love the most about poe2 is it's difficulty. I played from the first week of the game, every patch, every league. I don't know what divine and exalted orbs do. I know their costs, i bought about 5 items for 60ex total. I had 5 divines dropped for all my campaign walkthroughs. Reading this sub from time to time. So yeah - i'm playing mostly campaign, ssf, loot from the ground and without strong meme builds, like any lightning. My favourite char was 0.3 bone bloodmage. And i love the difficulty of the campaign, that is hard, but can be endured with making your build and learning this build to play. Also i really love it's graphics style - i think this gothic, near horror dark, is even better than in diablo 2. Thanks devs, happy to play you even in hard early access times.

This lets you assign some points in the passive tree to be used with weapon 1, and others with weapon 2 (not mainhand vs. offhand, a whole different set). This way you can have a withered wand with chaos stuff for ED/cont and a mace for melee, and you wouldn't waste as many passives on +chaos while you're attacking with the mace.

The builds in PoE2 are closer together with outliers for sure but its not that bad for me. My builds are my builds and I do well for myself. PoE1 never really gave me that feeling.

I've never played totems so if anything here sounds off sorry.
