But there are dupes that are extremely worth it and enhance characters very meaningfully.Usually it goes something like this: at S0 (0 dupes) the character works as intended, S1 is a decent to good buff, S2 is a minor stat increase, S3 ist a decent to good buff, S4 is a starting energy boost (so can ult faster for the first time) and S5 is a minor stat increase.There are sinners that don't follow this pattern but a lot do.If you wanna compete for some meaningless high scores , yeah it's gonna matter if your character is 0 or 5 dupes, but if you're playing normally, even endgame content, it's definitely not like in a lot of other gachas that you need 5 dupes for the character to be even worth considering and most can easily be played at 0 dupes.

How strong they actually are without any shackles obviously depends on the character in question.But I have played quite a few S0 in DZ without any problems. For example my LL was S0 for quite a while and still very useful. So yes I stand by the statement that most characters can be played successfully at S0 even if they might get significantly stronger with increased shackles.
