The nature of this game basically makes it possible to counter simply by changing speed/priority/etc let alone rng like defender counters. While it’s possible to solve which heroes are meta I don’t think it’s possible to solve the team setup itself. For casuals it’s not worth the hassle. The amount of times I’ve seen people change defense is like hourly.

But Outerplane doesn’t have the same issues Lost Sword has (mainly turn based and camera angles allows full appreciation of move set animations versus side scrolling clusterfuck), it just plays more safe than everyone outside of the sexo designs and combat animations. It basically has the opposite of what every other gacha has done. A game like Log Horizon would kill for Outerplane’s combat animations.

Have to say if you lack the whale roster then 6* Ame isn’t as dominant as one would think. She’s easily D Luna busted tier when things go her way, but it’s balanced well by how a tiny blue buff is all that saves her from being wiped off like fodder. Rather it’s the threats from the likes of 6* D Luna 6* G Viella 6* G Nella etc etc that would punish your ass the moment your D Vlada dares to one shot Ame by wiping your whole team that enables her. This matches perfectly with her comedic animations. In pve she’s definitely the most fun hero so far. It’s just amusing how if you have a team full of extra attacks or something that Ame’s b3 is skipped because Ame will recharge her own cooldown if you deck her out the most. Very AP efficient in this way.

Old timers, what is the counter to Ryu in PvP? Used to be Kanon but now every Ryu is stuck with DLuna who drags the s2 onto her and just wipes my team, but if I just let it go I get destroyed anyways. Whether it’s with DLuna/GBeth/DVlada/etc I have no answer not even Kuro can save me because even at lowest hp for some reason Ryu aims for someone like my MEva instead and takes off the Rez.I don’t want to take a 30% chance with Hilde when she’s a complete brick against everyone else. Those are not winning numbers.

Even competitive PvP is possible for f2p if you min max but no one recommends doing that cause this is a waifu gacha to begin with and most of the quality is in the pve. Pvp’s only appeal is because the combat system is pretty fun and basically no matter the meta no team has proven itself invincible you can always counter it last I checked correct me if I’m wrong. Even the current Mystic Sage Ame doesn’t change this, everyone in top 10 will lose to everyone in top 20 if they bother to build the right team to beat them up (poorfags like me gotta pick our opponents though cause we lacking some meta heroes).The Roguelike game mode in this game also gives zero fucks about dupes/investment, so having 1 copy of each hero will always benefit you there even if they are useless elsewhere.Welcome to Outerplane Outerbro!

Adding additional heroes to your party is useless - they don’t scale with existing level so all they do is waste your time they will never catch up. Outerwiki bro, can you tell the devs to not only fix Monad Gate but to also allow us to play it more than just one run a week? We went from basically unlimited runs (purely optional it had high stamina efficiency but due to how long it takes it’s not worth it for anything but fun) to locked out in one run. I don’t see how this can happen considering gachas have made roguelike game mode their entire gimmick like CZN, it’s clear it has so much potential devs even tied story to it, so it should never be a limited gameplay unlike say pure farming stuff like sky tower or adventure license that has nothing to be attached for.
