Something a lot of newer extraction game players need to learn is that much of the skill is in not exposing yourself to being shot in the back. There is a little skill involved in the gunplay, but PvP is a lot more about map knowledge and method. Try to remember that the PvP starts way before bullets start flying. Eliminating Arc quickly and more quietly, watching your back, listening to your surroundings and knowing high traffic areas where you need to be more cautious are all PvP skills.If you find yourself getting ambushed, shot in the back or killed by an extract camper, then, I hate to say it, but it is a skill issue. PvP encounters will not always happen like a Western standoff with two sides facing each other at an agreed upon time.If you keep this in mind you'll get better! I had to learn this myself!

Is there a better way to kill wasps that does more damage to them? I used 9 snitch scanners, then aggro'd 2 snitches, killed them after they called their good squad, and used the last 2 snitch scanners. I wolf packed all the wasps killed with the scanners and normally killed the others by shooting their rotors with an anvil. All in all it was 26 (22 from the scanners, 4 from the snitch call) wasps. I only got 8k points though. Does wolfpacking cause less overall damage?

I've never seen anyone say this before but both the "rats" and the "friendlies" are equally playing the game wrong.Both are bringing in some external motivations that have nothing to do with the design of the game, because they are desperate to force a social interaction with no utility. The correct way to play is to play with the objective of succeeding, that is to say, a mix of playing it safe and taking calculated risks. That might in rare circumstances mean player killing, either defensively (in the sense of, "I don't trust this player and I'd rather it's him than me") or when for a confluence of reasons it's safe and likely to yield very good loot (e.g. while they're looting a harvester or something), but it most of the time means being 'tactically friendly', that is, doing as little as possible to provoke hostile interactions with players, which usually aren't profitable enough to be worth the risk.This is playing according to the incentives of the game's design, this is fully immersing yourself in the perspective of a raider, this is true looter shooter dynamics.Instead we have pathological friendlies who think they're holy martyrs whenever they stupidly let their guard down around everyone, and pathological rats who care more about causing other players pain than about securing their own bag. reasons why freekits in tarkov are better than in this game1. the scav you can play as (free kit) is a completely different character to you, so you cannot progress or earn xp while playing as a scav2. scav has a cooldown, starts at 30min, can be lowered all the way to 12min3. scav always joins in progress raids, at 18min or less left4. scav has a different progress system, where you have to earn rep with Fence (scav trader), every successful raid earns you 1 rep, killing a PMC earns you 5 to 10 rep, and killing an AI scav loses you 6 rep, every 100 rep you gain bonuses like better loadouts or shorter cooldowns5. your loadout is completely random within a range, you will get a broken down weapon but it could be an SA-58 (modernized FAL) or a toz (shitty shotgun), you also get a random misc item, it could be a fucking bandage or a black keycard for labs6. player scavs are the most hated players in the entire game, their playstyle revolves around ratting, joining raids while it's almost over and killing geared players who cleaned the entire lobby and getting all their loot

Does this game have a hit detection problem or something? The amount of times I shoot someone with a TON of bullets and they don't go down is crazy. Then I check the end game screen and it will say I did "100" damage to them. If you deal "100" you are supposed to down them. You can check the screen every time, if you deal 100, you are supposed to down them.I truly don't understand it, I have lost tons of games this way. I shoot someone like literally 30 fucking times without missing any shots but die myself first. What is the problem?

I am bad at the PVP. I honestly don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I shoot first and break their shield? They ninja run away so fast I can't even find them. They shoot me first and break my shield? They insta-swap to a stitcher and kill me so fast I can't even retaliate. They use a stitcher 1? I die in half a second. I use a stitcher 4? I hit every single bullet without missing? They don't even go down at all. I have light shields? They have heavy. I have heavy? They have a torrente 4 and shoot me so fast so many times it didn't even matter I had shields at all.I legit do not understand what to do. Feels like no matter how I play, what I do, I am losing. Unless I do faggot rat shit like hide and then shoot first an unsuspecting player (which is not skillful or fun in any way).
