I finished Shizune’s route, ended up liking her a lot more than I thought I would. She’s pretty cute and I enjoyed the Kenji screen time. Misha grew on me too, although I have no fucking idea why they made her gay. While I’m glad it didn’t have too much of an impact on the story, they could have easily kept the plot the same and not left a bad taste in people’s mouths.I’ll do Rin’s route next, maybe her humor can distract me form the fact that I am running out of game left to play and I don’t want it to end.

Despite being horrendous at any type of artistic expression, I'm really enjoying Rin's route so far. For all of her spacing out she seems to be the most visually expressive of them all. I'm just concerned that I'm going to mess up because of how many more choices there seem to be, and I'm not all that far into act 2.

You can go your whole life without getting her route since you can usually only get it if your relationship with all the other girls is low, it took me using a flowchart to figure that out. Her route is probably (don't quote me on that) the most verbose route, or at least it always felt like it, I wouldn't be surprised if the word count for her route is 20-50% larger than for everyone else's. She rambles and goes on tangents constantly and only a tenth of the time do they actually go somewhere. And if you wanna be sure how to get her good route you might need a flowchart, since hers isn't as obvious as all the other girls.

To my surprise, I ended up somewhat disappointed with Rin. She started off strong, but once you get to the atelier it seems like nothing good happens until they’re suddenly in love at the end. Hanako’s route had her constantly dealing with issues as well, but you still got to enjoy things like the jazz club and her birthday along the way. I think Rin suffers from the same problem Shizune does where the glimpse of her you see in the other routes isn’t really representative of hers. Rin starts off funny and still somewhat expressive, but then once she gets depressed/artist’s block later on we don’t really get to see that side of her again.Not helping things is how different Hisao is in Rin’s route. He’s understandably depressed at start, but moves on somehow in every other route I’ve played thus far. In Rin’s he just stews in it and seems to give up on his studies, which makes him seem like an entirely different character. I think it would have been better if we got more time with her after her exhibition was over, and Act 4 focused on her question of “what do I do now?” while Hisao does the same during summer classes. Though much akin to Rin, I’m having a hard time putting what I’m feeling into words, I don’t want it to seem like I hate her. Somebody please say that I’m making some kind of sense. Goodnight, /ksg/

Its basically a smaller knockout bracket for certain teams to get a 2nd chance into advancing to the Round of 16.
