The last CPRG where I considered switching to controller was Wasteland 3 as that was obviously designed with an XBOX controller in mind (and you get unique "features" with it). Before that I believe DA:Inquisition earned this doubtful honor, as the triggers allowed you full control over combat speed and that single-handedly saved the game for me. But as far as BG3 goes I haven't even thought about switching from KBM.

Goddamit.>>550124475As for this I understand the AI's metagaming to an extent but only being able to save the day but baiting the minor boss (?) into focusing your companions by making then vulnerable (or more precisely not making them resistant) was a bit over the top. It's not even about keeping the said NPC alive but preventing bullshit like triple/quadruple casting an ability that let's the big baddie get away scot-free. Because succceeding means he's removed from the encounter for good. Jaheira with the Bonespike Boots and Confusion was the real MVP here, watching the big baddie getting knifed by his own lackeys was hilarious. If only they finished him as well...

New to the game in a roundabout way. What's the easiest class to play for an ADHD smoothbrain who can't plan two steps ahead? I am really emphasizing my inability to mentally infer consequences for my actions that are going to happen imminently.I'm asking because I got the game on leaving early access, and I remember really struggling with the three classes I tried which were Warrior, Sorcerer and Mage. I did horrible with all of them, I had to constantly save scum on the normal difficulty.

>>550152715IMO Bard is actually the easiest class in the game. Fantastic stat spread that let you waltz through persuasion and perception checks, and their skills make fights a snoozefest. You just buff the shit out of your allies while disabling the enemy. Very few sub-classes swing power like a Bard does.

What I found weird is that you suppose to stop warning the other potential victim afterwards. The wording of Bloodstained Parchment made think the list was handed out to multiple Aspirants and logic dictates the same. (The entrance to the Tribunal needs two hands per person and there are 6 unclaimed names on the list.) We're obviously dealing with one Aspirant but getting rid of him doesn't mean the potential victim's life is not in danger by the rest.

>>550177117That's end of the Act 2 content. You can engage them earlier despite the Psionic Detector's warnings but it's not a coincidence they're guarding the road to the next chapter. I made my life difficult by insisting on to make the Shadow Curse claim them but that's neither here nor there. One thing I can wholeheartedly recommend for that fight is Fear from a high DC caster. I used it to force the Githyanki to drop their (otherwise permanently Light enhanced) weapons, then I pick them up with my nearest party members. My intent was to strip them from their light sources and expose them to the Curse but it also made the fight much easier: their damage was reduced to their bare fists (minus their leader who's a warlock and can still hurt you) and they could no longer use special shit Githyanki Parry. So if I were you I'd surely give this maneuver a shot.
