I do think empire is interesting too because you have the widest access to various units and can employ combined arms.monstrous infantry vs traditional cavalry, monstrous infantry can be used with smaller infantry, then can run right through your own guys and you can use the smaller infantry to buffer enemy hits. monstrous infantry can stay in combat and do will in a mosh pit. cavalry are typically better at actual hammer and anvil where you right click the enemy rear and cycle charge.
Is there a mod that makes the AI field reasonable armies and not just chariot/skirmisher spam? I also hate when faction leaders have every RoR unit in their armies.

I don't play Greenskins much so I don't know about specific battle tactics with them. Boar Boyz are actually pretty good as far as cavalry goes and I think they have some line mulching melee infantry.

But basically I imagine it'll be the case where each Ork faction in a campaign is a single one, each Eldar belongs to the same faction, and so on. The fuck is diplomacy gonna work in 40K? At least in Fantasy there is some semblance of lasting alliances between order races and open trades and such. In 40K the "Every Race for themselves" aspect is dialled to 11 and every single one of them is set to "kill the other races" as their default mentality.
