How do you know when you're underleveled without just jumping in, and hoping you figure it out before you get too far gone? Also please help.I'm at what I'm hoping is the real final fight in Baldur's Gate 2, Chapter 7, part 2, episode 6, act 3, page 28.Fucker summons his four baby sitters, then hides away in his safety bubble to throw random pot-shots at the group. Even with every buff I've got, if I try fighting head on, my heavy hitters get destroyed in a few quick hits, and barely connect any of our own.on occasion, I've been able to cast skull trap enough to get one or two of the demons down (with frankly scooby-doo levels of kiting) summons barely do anything. if I'm lucky, I can get a greater malison or chaos to stick on a few of them.One time, I actually got the demons all killed, but by that point my two ressers were dead. I didn't like my chances with two of my physical hitters down. But I remembered a couple hours later that I actually have a rod of ressurection that I could have easily used on them to great effect. 9/10 charges remaining too. not making that mistake again.The whole party is either 15 or 16 (Jaheira is 12/13, but she's a multi, so that's fine) also I've only got five party members because I'm dumb, and didn't want to go all the way back to Ust Natha to get Valygar.What's worse is that I had a ton of potions, but I used them all up in the previous fight against him since I thought that was going to be the final battle. What's the approved CRPG here for a JRPG convert who's tired of playing SaGa over and over again? I want one with really good (turn-based) combat, if there's timeline manipulation or lots of overlapping abilities you can do YuGiOh esque style turns that's even better. I also really hate Tolkien-trope esque fantasy settings. So if the game has your generic thug Orcs clans, engineering Dwarfs, archer Wood elfs, etc it might be hard to pull me. It's a problem with a game's design if I am playing on the hardest difficulty and have so many trauma healing medkits (infinite) that I can just open up toybox and click rest all and not even feel bad about it rather than wasting time dragging and dropping medkits onto the hotbar and then clicking the portraits.I don't even really know how this game works, I have just clicked talents and moves that sound strong, and combat is still way too easy.
