If you just let her go at it, you won't taunt anything important; you'll just get focus fired by 10-15 mooks who otherwise would have harmlessly spread out all of their damage to your whole team. And if you somehow get lucky and her shield takes all the hits instead, you just lost her shield, which permanently stops her buffs from occurring for the rest of the fight since they require her cover to gain hp, which it can't do if its gone.

My only problem with permadeath is how tied nikke releases are with main story and events. If dead nikkes got as many skins and alts as alive ones then you could kill the whole cast and I wouldn't care. But a dead nikke is never getting anything significant in this game, thus making it feel like a gut punch for enjoying said nikke.
