Is it acceptable to use a mod that lets you choose your starting stats? Only to swap your +10 and +5 bonuses to skills you're gonna use. I know they wanted race to be an impactful choice, but I feel like racial abilities and powers are a better system for that. Especially with mods.

As I start working on my 4th modlist from scratch and consider the mods I used before I come to the realization that most city mods/expansions were nothing but slop that caused me issues and didn't meaningfully contribute to my gameplay experience as they are just the same old towns wearing the skin of something more fun and expansive.The only exceptions were RedBags Rorikstead as it just makes the city look comfy and just worked, along with Capital Whiterun Expansion which just added a very useful alchemist and a player home which didn't require me to progress the main quest to get, which is niceSame with northern roads, just a compatibility nightmare.

Are they any good? I would have less problem doing the mods myself but downloading all the dependables and tiny script mods that some random mods need is really brutal.
