I come bearing corrections to what I said last thread about Leigh's OE (with Wriggling Cord giving infinite devour) giving a 2x2x2xetc. effect on the Strength it generates. I have more thoroughly tested this, and that is in fact not the case. That math works only up to 3 devours, but the numbers diverge from 4 devours onward. The actual OE math goes more like this:

It makes sense. Her kit isn't the easiest to use early on. She's good at healing back from low health with her exalt devour effect, gives a shield the next turn based on the damage your team takes in the current turn, and can generate a good amount of embryos with her rouse. At higher levels, she can give some good chunks of permanent strength on top of her healing with her Over Exalt. She's far from the best in any of these areas, but if you like her then she's definitely a usable Caro support.

That was absolutely the intent, yeah, but Caro really doesn't give enough incentive to go into sub-25% hp very often, and Uhvash's cards aren't much of an exception. He does, however, benefit a lot from spamming his exalt, since multiple uses in one battle give a stacking Strength modifier to its damage. If you want to use him as primary damage, then try an aliemus posse and use it on him as much as possible, feed him embryos for 30 aliemus a pop, and just make sure there's at least one embryo in hand that he can use for his exalt each turn.

Leigh can support him by healing back some lost health (also requires an embryo to do a % heal), but Salvador and Thais are Caro's best friends. Salv is a brick wall who also buffs the Crimson Furnace with a higher cap and heals, while Thais upgrades normal embtros into super embryos that can activate devour effects twice for one exalt. Faint is also the top Death Resistance character in the game and can potentially keep your team alive at 1 hp longer than most other healers ever could. Agrippa's best quality is her 2-cost that doubles the current embryo bar percentage, so she can use it at 90% embryo, create embryo, and the bar bumps up to 80% again. Then you can use another generation card/ability, and get another embyro. Her shields and alert from her exalt are fine, but not great. I don't have a lot of experience with Pickman, but he has good utility with temporary pseudo-relics and orisons, plus giving his teammates' exalts added power.

NTA. But she works quite well. Just mind that she has the worst stat growth in entire game and her kit is pretty much outdated by this point. There is almost nothing good about Leigh. But here is quite few interesting things. Her 3 cost shield gen also works with self-damage. Astral reign provide special artefact called Dimensional Image. It's unique for every character. But it also makes her much more enjoyable to play. So she has some uses. It's shame most of them come only from very specific scenarios that is hard to pull of in a first place.

Thais/horla/aigis is pretty much her boiler plate team. Aigis is there for vuln bot duty plus her one turn stun to buy an emergency extra turn if needed. You run april covenant on ghelot and basically go all in on 100-0 burst turns(another reason she needs investment, because if you fail to kill your covenant is now offline). Try borrowing a whale ghelot instead of using your own to see the difference in how she feels with investment.

Tulu is mostly just there in gmurphy teams for arc 2 lemurian bonuses and his passive shit takes more tentacle damage. Abyss order is an alright card too for the pierce it gives tentacles or for clearing some mobs but mostly he is there for passive shit. He is fine at e0, and you really shouldn't go higher than e1. His wheel is pretty generically good for free start of battle aliemus for characters you don't want to play cards of(think someone like karen) as well as alright for himself. Lily is a pretty decent sustain/sub DPS for poison teams but needs e3 to really shine. Her wheel is mostly only useful on herself but it's not bad on her.

Having said that though Thais hard to pass up without being crazy powerful on her own. She is an almost universally good support and more so for any caro teams. You will not be super powerful just by having her but she does make everyone else perform better.
Gmurphy is pretty crazy strong but also kind of relies on specific teams to be that crazy.

Surprising myself, I don't mind Caraboo being a maggot, but I wish her design had a little more contrast. Making her skin, hair, and clothes all the same color was a very strange choice, and while it does make her reds pop nicely, it also makes her look weirdly plain.

Still slamming my head against the Astral Reign Ch4 final boss, on Normal. It disgusts me that I have yet to clear it, and I swear to delete my account if I can't clear it before the anniversary archive expires.

No, it'll become invincible when it reaches 1 hp and then transition to the 2nd phase. Depleting all of its phase 1 health just makes it start with less health in phase 2
You still want to do as much damage as you can before the phase transition because tentacles make it extremely difficult to survive and force you to tank 1-2k hits every turn unless you have multiple sources of STR down or ways to cleanse the debuffs, and you can't really keep up with that for long, so doing more damage early means you'll have less healthbars to deal with in phase 2

On my most recent attempt, I burned it down to its last health bar (ie. no pips left) by turn 6, but after the phase transition, it suddenly had 5k damage aimed at me.

On a previous attempt, it managed to inflict 999 stacks of weak+vuln+frag on my team in a single move on Turn 13. This is a level of bullshit that even Tohuvabohu never sank to.
