It's hilarious and also interesting watching this game reflective real life socio-economic norms.The game is distinctly split into two types of players, misnomer'ed "PvE" and "PvP" players. Which are misnomers because lots of PvE players are willing to engage in PvP, and most PvP players don't actually want PvP, they just want to ambush and kill people with no pushback.Regardless, the fact that "KOS skins" have become so prominent is hilariously indicative of RL. As we all know, people who use certain skins are more likely to try to kill you. Every single one of these "KOS skins" is a free skin you get just for buying the game once and playing. Not a single one requires any more real $$$ input. Contrarily, it seems like the vast majority of people using paid skins are "PvE" players, that is to say just generally more well mannered and not trying to ruin people's day.So the people who want to take your shit and cause problems and generally don't have mics are, effectively poor. They can't/don't buy skins, and are more likely to act lawless and inhospitable. While the people who do buy skins are the opposite. Just like IRL, where people in low income economic situations are more likely to cause crime. Stella montis is simply not designed for cooperative play. With everyone running past each other, the entire map is picked clean within minutes. If you spawn past the 24 minute mark, the only things left are seed vault and the cultural archives.

They acknowledge that the Betinna sucks for PvP, and barely change it while citing nebulous "data" to back it up, which in my experience happens when the devs just look at data all day and don't actually play the game, so they fundamentally don't understand why it sucks to play. Then they buff the rattler to be more "in line" with the sticher and kettle, which is inherently nonsensical because the stitcher and kettle are too overpowered for common guns, but the buff they provide is a laughable 2 more bullets in the mag, leaving the kettle in a state where it's still horribly inferior. No changes to the expedition progress means everyone is still spamming free kits because the game doesn't want you to use gear, and on top of that the christmas event actively punishes people who are grinding for expedition skill points since you need to donate more stuff for this other progress. The game's progression systems are completely out of whack and they aren't even trying to fix it

They bring gear, but don't use it, or waste it. They have grenades? Why do shields recharge so fucking slowly? You are at such a disadvantage when your shield is broken. It takes a longer amount of time to shield back up than it does for anyone to rush you down. Maybe you use the surge charger, but it also takes just as long (if not actually longer) for that too. And if you get shot while doing it, you're done. If you even manage to get the charge off, it won't be at full for a while either, and if shot then, it stops at X%.Bumrushing, sneak attacking, and shooting first + being aggressive is the best way to play the game. It honestly makes PVP so fucking boring, there's rarely ever a chance to "turn it around", you either shoot first or die.

I'm just gonna say it. I still think Venator is one of the best guns even after it's nerf. It's handling is so good. I feel like so many times I'm missing shots with the kettle or my trigger finger isn't fast enough or it's hard to focus on firing and aiming when you have to click so fast. Haven't played this game since November and I don't understand why people actually like it. The pve is okay but unrewarding, the pvp itself isn't even fun with how buggy it is. I mean Christ it's more unrewarding than pve and is only done to seemingly spice up the monotony. Quests are awful, expeditions seem pointless to me and end game seems to be non existent or just outright unfinished. Sorry for the long post and making yet another one of these. It was the dupes and the lack of dupe protection that made bp grinding such a boring ass slog. Sure there is trading, but some of the BPs are so rare no one will want to trade a vita spray for a venator for instance. This buff to the droprate is not the way, it just makes bps feel boring instead of like a chase item. I got 8 blueprints on my last run. Fucking EIGHT. 7 of them were dupes. What Embark needed to do was keep the droprates the same and then introduce a trader that allowed you to trade between 3 and 5 blueprints for 1 dupe protected bp. That way you could actually complete your collection. Just increasing droprates is retarded and makes raids feel retarded and does not solve the problems of dupes.
