Then you get to pick a subclass at level 3 and you can forget about weapons for good.

Durge overcoming Orin was one of the coolest things in this game and it was even better for me because after destroying the grove I realized I didn't like being a bad guy and decided to work my ass off to make up for it all. Not knowing Withers was Jergal because quite frankly I didn't look at anything in the temple other than free gold and items on top of not knowing of the previous Bhaalspawn's triumph really made that moment special. It's set the bar so high for me I dont think any playthrough I do from now on will feel as good as that one.
the most disappointing thing about bg3 is part banter, companions stop ran out of things to say in act 1 and the banter is so much weaker than DA:O with Morrigan and Alistar for example

Between that, HoH, and no-save pushes from EB+repelling blast you've got enough to shit on every encounter. Can abuse devil's sight+darkness, too.
