You know when the game launched I didn't particularly like the idea of pulling for alternate styles of the same characters. Now it's like, Yeka already has 2 disciplines and is the perfect priest already, so why not just keep investing more into her. We only need 5 characters, this isn't really the kind of game where you swap out characters at will or keep a backup squad for farming. Equipment is also a huge investment, especially for ninja/samurai. But I'm torn. You definitely don't get enough rolls to go much past D3, say 200 rolls twice a year. Or you save up for an entire year and get someone at D6/D7? It's like I want to be excited for the trapper but if it's just another time sink, they would have to be crazy OP for me to roll. But if they are crazy OP, Am I really going to hit their rerun banners over and over or save up 60k to roll them up to D4? I just don't know what the fuck my rolling plan is supposed to be.

Sleep, chronostasis, and freeze will help prevent him from doing much. Then it's just a matter of beating him to death with axes. If you have hit 62 for splitter it helps a lot since splitter x2 is around or more damage than one FPS and can't be interrupted.

Just show the wolf your shiou's signature technique when he low hp. Flame-bamboo could probably work too, especially when leveled (mine was 2+2k on sure-hit lv.1). After he summons last pack of fat wolves (like 5, instead of usual 3) you can deal no more than ~2-3k damage or he wipe your team. I feel like taunt could force him to regular attack you instead of casting his shit on his turn, but that wont work if he interrupt turn order due to low hp threshold.

2H are even MORE meta for A4 now. Fighters are also eating good and got even better (and even more reliant on 2H because Earth Splitting Strike is so good and locked to one hit). Shiou is putting in work and finally seeing some good uses for her elemental blades.Alice is absolutely bonkers since A4 favors water and fire magic, and Alice can do both, as well as the usual priest and mage things. Like, she's always been meta, but she's now better than ever, and built well can help solve a ton of problems. Mage+Priest hybrids in general get some neat tools on the way to 70, including a row dissipate alternative to the ninja skill (which is only row at rank 2).Lana and Sheli both are great for their sustain QoL, especially since there are some instances of respawning enemies now. Lana needs pretty high skill ranks on her inherit though for it to feel useful. Combined with good kill speeds.Your chest opener needs hella investment. The deeper chests need like 130+ detect and 140+ disarm to not be a total nightmare. You can cope with 120 and 130, but it's rough and my Yuzu fails the detect (123) quite often and is constantly becoming afraid of traps. She has 143 disarm though and that feels good enough to me, with only mimics being tough, as they usually are.Thinking of Yuzu, A LOT of things can be affected by charm, and it helps a ton. If you have her built, she is very good. The new ninja skills kind of suck so far (my Yuzu is only 64 so I don't know if they get something Evade is more or less useless now. Even a buffed Savia in the back with 180 base evade and blinded enemies gets hit depressingly often. It's not completely awful, but it's not the meta. The first section of route 6 seems to have a pretty high chance of spawning 2-4 chests right by the entrance, so you can pop in grab them, head back to route 5’s harken and repeat.
