Now at level 55 I’ve been extracting with 60k in my backpacks for the past 200 matches only getting ratted at the extract 4 times in my whole playtime. Can we talk about shields and damage?I don't know how many of you will feel the same. But I think shields not protecting you from 100% of all damage before the thing breaks is a massively bad game design/PVP flaw. You get shot with a farro 1 and take like what 70%+ shield damage and also a ton of HP damage. Anything shooting you deals %HP damage. Once your shield is broken, your health is just too low for you to really do anything. Your only chance is to run; but it typically causes your own demise. You can only take a few hits, maybe even only a single one, before you're knocked out. Spending so much time running and not fighting back leaves you on the back foot so hard your going to die so easily. It is 100x easier to chase and shoot someone just a few more times than it is for the runner to successfully escape/take cover and shield up. If you're in the open in any way, you're done.I understand that may be the point, people shouldn't be "unkillable". But there is no middle ground? You can even get into unfortunate situations where say a spider jumps on your face and then a exploding pop rushes you and you will die before you can even react. 2 pops? You're gone. Flamer and a pop? Done. Outside and there's 2-3 wasps on your, or 2 hornets? You're extremely fucked. The "challenge" of running isn't a challenge at all, because it is asking the impossible from you. "Don't get shot anymore or take any damage in any way because you are at 5% hp lol" is ridiculous and gives all advantages to the attacker/chaser and literally nothing but downsides to the defender. Otherwise I basically hunt shredders with the hullcracker while pathing through assorted loot POIs like the staff room, collapsed tunnel sec lockers, sandbox control rooms, atrium freezer, lobby shredder, business center cases, etc. While it's not quite as lucrative as every container in assembly vomiting high value loot, every shredder represents at least ~3-4k worth of loot. 3k in the gyro alone, and it's easy to kill shredders with 2-3 hits from the hullcracker. It's not uncommon for me to extract with 18k+ worth of shredder gyros. Bringing the hullcracker is a risk, and I've lost one to PvP, but the income from it has outpaced the loss. 99% of randos avoid shredders like the plague on stella. They're a value source that is consistently present even as a late spwn.

Every few hours make a detour or two to bluegate to go blow up a bombardier. The bombadier will drop advanced power cells for turning those batteries into energy ammo ($$$), arc motion cores for crafting cracker ammo, arc alloys for crafting motion cores, and even cracker ammo itself.

Deadlines have been more awkward than desired since bombards will do that leaper point blank explosion. Someone in the previous thread said that those trailblazer grenades show promise, but I haven't found the BP and haven't tried them myself.But overally I agree with that sentiment. So far bringing the hullcracker into stella has been basically the only time in this entire fucking game where I felt like I was being rewarded for taking the risk of bringing rarer gear into a match. Granted I'm in the chungartha lobbies, so the PvP risk for me is low. The other poster recommended the shotgun. It works too, but it's a slower and riskier process. However there is also the consideration that the hullcracker is worthless in PvP and the shotguns are pretty good at PvP up close. Pick your poison.

Like I've been saying I havent heard a raider flare unless someone died fighting an arc boss in like 50 raids now so if the server hears gunshots followed by a flare, everyone else in the server knows he's there. Don't bother fighting Bombadiers, they are a fucking awkward pain in the ass. Bastions are extremely stupid and predictable and getting a Deadline on them is easier. There is also a guaranteed spawn with a very short pathing in Stella Montis. Just spam Stella Montis and kill the Bastion every time and prioritize looting the advanced powercells, if people are contesting it then detour to the security lockers or computers and pick up batteries and explosives to make if you don't have a Deadline.

It's very lucrative to loot the stacks of 5 from the harvester since every breach container in the harvester essentially contains 5k worth of loot. It's also damn near the only item in the game that gains you a profit to craft. To the point where it feels like an oversight from embark.
