Just finished the new story and I gotta say... I was impressed bigly. Mostly by the VO. I play with the en dub because I'm under no delusions that I will ever be japanese, and 2 of the weaker links in the en cast (kot, boobu) picked themselves up by their bootstraps and did pretty great work. The story itself was pretty good too. The final scene made me wish seaslug had the budget to do more visually, but it still felt properly climatic.

I can't count how many times in the story they created a new past. e.g.,:>"Tau did this thing a year ago in preparation for today. We just didn't mention it because it was super-secret-18D-chess"Sophie, when she first appeared, was just some queen of the slums with a good voice that only showed up for about 6 lines of text was only there for atmosphere/ambience. She didn't even have a name. Just generally speaking, if you play through Legacy, there's at least two dozen women that were (seemingly) insignificant. Including 3 or 4 little girls that DID have names. And even the Personal Files - Like Mirian's with the little girl who lost her parents, and Mirian went to retrieve a family photo. They can also retcon anyone back to life because of Titagen which seems to gain some new miraculous property every chapter. Even this update - there were 2 women that died that both had names - but they were titagen deaths so the door is wide open there. And of course, the board members and the mad scientist that keeps escaping (rescued by board members as Omega died and now MIA, btw).There's really no shortage of material for them to work with.

She's been around entirely too long for a villain with such a massive plothole - which is that they can just nuke that fucking space station and be done with it. Given the technology that exists, there's simply no excuse for that not having been done. It doesn't even need to have tracking. An old-school missile with zero electronics to be scrambled can easily hit a target that's half a mile wide in space. Even just getting within 10 miles of it and detonating on a timer would be enough to destroy something that delicate.
