Travel is pretty easy in the city. Getting back to her Ithica should be pretty easy if it were a place in this world. The only rational answer, in the face of a world where travel was easy, is that travel back to where she calls home isn't simple at all. Either the Trains can't take her back to her home because her home is not in the City, or her home is not of this world.Also because the Argos encounter would be especially heartbreaking because the Argos she will meet is not her Argos.
