Managed to pop a command bunker for first time with just quasar. Popped off the top two turret and once more in the side. It was above me on open ground and not firing on me, for once. Usually I just end up using orbital on it. Is there a good way to take out factory striders w/ Quasar/Eruptor/Ultimatum? I can take out top turret, but never really figured out a good way to deal w/ chin guns at range. Quasar seems ineffective on side, sometimes I get lucky shot w/ ultimatum or stick thermites to its head if it's that close.

The future of this game is unironically just remixes of stratagems. Orbital gas barrages are dirt easy to make and the community is so starved for content that drip feeding them one red stratagem a year AT MOST will be seen as mana from the heavens. In a few years we'll have gas solo silos and incendiary tesla towers. We'll have FRVs with stalwarts and de-escalator bulwarks and redditors will eat it up because they've had nothing else for MONTHS in between such generous additions. The future is bleak.

Of course, that also depends on you not dying beside your teammates to then make that -2/3/4 deaths instead of just -1 + a couple of enemies dead. Also, suicide armour is even more useless on 40 minute missions due to the game despawning enemies the instant you die if no one else is around when you do die. So if you split off to solo even then that armour is worthless.

When I bought Helldivers 2 it was June 18th 2024 at 4:00AM ish, because I finally convinced myself to buy it after continuing to be fascinated with the ideology of fighting for something bigger and greater than myself and those around me.This brings us to the serious part. This year I had an extremely rough patch in the relationship I’m in. I won’t go too into detail about it, but I found out that my partner has been lying to me, manipulating me, and telling her best friend (which I made very clear I didn’t trust her friend) every personal thing I told my girlfriend. I had also lost an incredibly special pet to me, my cat of 19 years, Peanut. She had a special spot in my bed and I was unable to sleep well without her.Now we come to the part where it circles back to the game that saved me. Helldivers 2 had always fascinated me and captivated me, and that always helped to take the thoughts of suicide off of my mind. Whenever I would think about it, knife in hand, I would think back to how I’d be failing the people around me, and I’d fail super earth. The SES Mother of Truth would never be seen on another planet again. The democracy officer on my ship would never see another Helldiver again. The shipmaster would never get to yell at another Helldiver about sample collection again. Super Earth would never see the SES Mother of Truth again. Having put so many hours into the game (446 at the time of posting), that would all be thrown away. I’d never get to experience the new content that arrowhead would throw at us.Thank you Arrowhead, for making the very thing that saved my life. I hope those $60 did something good for you.
