every time I spawn every enemy plane locks onto me while the retard in the fighter does nothing with zero sense of urgency, even when I fly directly toward them basically giving them a free kill
there are so many people just cycling planes right now the airspace is always contested so at best you get 1 or 2 bombing runs in before you explode, if that, as opposed to spawning a jet and basically being untouchable

I've got them equipped with Lanchesters as their secondary right now, but it's Br*tish and I don't like having multiple front posts on irons.
I don't feel like the extra fire rate of the Thompsons is worth the recoil when .45 smgs hit so hard anyway. I'd just run two M3A1s if they didn't share an ammo pool.

A shame. I really like having an AT whenever possible and 4 is pretty low for a squad, especially when an assaulter squad can already have four SMGs + engie + AT + MG. I've got extra gold burning a hole in my pocket and no soviet premium yet, so I was considering them when I saw they were a medic squad with an engineer.

I might grab the BM-8-24, even though I just know it's gonna be a niche vehicle I'll probably barely ever spawn.
Anyone have any experience with it? I figure it might be nice on wide open maps, but did they specifically make it take longer to rearm? As far as I can tell, rearming other vehicles was always just a single tick, but in test drive it only gives 3 rockets at a time.

Medic mommies are a fun squad. They're fast and I like their voicelines.

But definitely get the paratroopers for Soviets since they can be equipped to play in any BR. The Yak with the 45mm is good too if you like planes and popping tanks. Get the halftrack APC since you can also put that in any BR above 1 and can train soldiers faster. Captured MP40 squad is also decent.

Do you guys swap out the default riflemen that remain in your squad composition (like in MG, mortar and flamethrower squads) for riflemen 2 or 3, or do you just leave them there? I have mostly just kept them, especially because most already have good perk distribution, but I wonder if it's better to replace them for riflemen 2 or 3, and if so, which one of the two, I see people prefer 2 because of run speed

If you want to use medkit use speed with medkits, like many do with bolt action soldiers, then riflemen 3s. Top tier metafagging is ammo bags with auto rifles and riflemen 2s.
It also involves only using soldiers with max stat distributions (a star next to all three of their stat numbers)
Early on it doesn't really matter and you're better off saving resources for more important things. And it's better when progressing through the game to get a number of good enough (sprint speed/recoil reduction/vitality) riflemen 1s or whatever that you then take out of a squad when you finish leveling it and use it in the next squad so you're not stuck using them with no perk soldiers the whole time you're leveling the squad.

Just played my first game on the new map. I really enjoyed it, but that was probably in part because it was BR 2-3. I could feel how cancerous the open areas would be with autorifle spam.

The fucking distance counter just breaks if there's more than one cap point. You could be in range of one and unable to spawn while the other one was showing 70+m away because it only fucking shows one at a time (the wrong one) instead of just giving you the range for both while driving an APC or with a hammer out. It also fucking sticks, so I was seeing "73m" stuck over the cap while in a fucking plane 5 minutes later.

APCs kind of needed a shake up tbqh. Hunting them can be hard as people have learned the best places to hide them and winning an objective is basically impossible with multiple up so if no one on your team can dive them the game is basically over, which happens a lot. Rallies being more vulnerable but also being able to be closer makes intuitive sense. I'm sure they will work out the teething issues with the changes eventually. At least it's getting to the point where spawn points are more commonly put down by more than just one player.
All the small conquest maps suck anyway and they should all be expanded
