Making it so the boss takes no damage while simultaneously being able to hit you for 80% of your max health with a single hit, or oneshot you with a comb--all the while chipping your health down with constant but less powerful attacks that can come out at any time forcing you to use your heals if you don't want to get oneshot ultimately dooming you too soon because you can only carry a low amount and even then you need to craft them with a weekly cap unless you want to play farming simulator--is a profoundly unfun and retarded way to do difficulty design.

How do you even get a sense of satisfaction beating a challenge thats not set on the highest difficulty? Genuine question. If I beat something and I know I've had to do it on the baby modes, it doesn't feel like i've actually accomplished anything.

You can get Strategic up to snuff pretty fast, and you can transfer Inner Way progress AFAIK. But Nameless Sword is pretty fun and Spear has a neat ability to freeze an enemy/reduce endurance consumption.
