The entire problem with TCM is Cassius. Can you really have a single character in the game that can match his power of stacking +40 morale and fortitude, plus infinitely scaling zero-cost attack cards? What about new characters that would also need to match this level of power? And what about reworking the base roster to reach his level? Let’s be real here. You either rework all characters to match Cassius, or you nerf him. Otherwise, he will stay meta forever until EoS, and that is not healthy for the game at all.

Without TCM, there's Mei Lin and 0-cost retrieve Veronica. Nerfed Mei Lin? There's Luke. Nerfed Luke? Now we still have retain Beryl.It's a neverending cycle of some team/character being ahead of others. Next you find out that with a fairly mediocre deck, Rin can easily burn 40-50k per turn. Much more if you give her a perfect deck, which will be possible with the new changes. Then there's infinite scaling Kayron, Chizuru, and even Renoa. Nobody knows where the devs will draw the line. Nobody knows when the character you spend literal months farming fragments for will suddenly become Yuki.
