The game's so CPU bottlenecked anyway I've been running the game on high since launch because there's 0 FPS difference for me between low, medium and high settings My GPU could run this game at ultra but the CPU load is so absurd I can't get any more FPS no matter what I do to the settingsThe only way they can get meaningful performance gains for this game is to reduce the CPU load but that's impossible because of the core design of the game. They made an impossible to optimise game that has to be brute forced by the strongest chips on the market. The LoD patch will only help already potato tier GPUs that shouldn't be running this game anyways

Reshade is an injector program, it needs to be able to modify and replace stuff in your game. You just have pretty low ammo count, and you can cut it pretty close with some of the stronger monster's hp. It should be easier to not worry about that with what it's gained this TU. I am not a big enough fan to use it on every hunt, but it is very cool to see a million ticks of 60-100 on gog with dragon ammo.

I haven't fought Gog enough to form a complete opinion on the fight yet (mostly seems like a heavily scripted spectacle fight with lots of random shit on the ground, basically an oldgen siege fight) but I am not sure what brainworm possessed the devs this time for them to try and make weapon swapping and dicking around on your seikret/paddling underwater passively throwing rocks the big thing the last couple fights of the base game should revolve around. What does the elemental weakness stuff really add to the fight outside of forcing a swap the moment you enter the phase where the instakill is a threat? Why can't it just be about a big nigga that shoots you if you don't stagger him in time?This fight has lots of mechanics that seem like fluff but at least look cool but I don't really get the rationale behind that gimmick. What settings are you all using for PC? I have a 4070 and feel like I'm getting worse performance than some 3060-3070 posters I've seen. I have most settings at cap, except for clouds, volumetric fog and Ambient Light Quality. I'm on 1440p, but using DLSS at Quality setting, I can't stand to go lower cause the blurriness kicks in too bad. I wouldn't expect a miracle and 120 or even 90 fps in these conditions so I capped at 60, but I seem to dip below 60 pretty commonly, despite no part of my PC hitting 100% utilization (they are actually mostly in the 60-70% area) which causes it to feel really bad. I've resorted to framegen just to help smooth out these dips but it's not ideal for combating the pervasive blurriness
