I found a good way to farm poison powder in the mistforest outpost without a horse+ contraption. Just enter by the top left entrance, shoot the barrel, run it to loot and then turn around, use meteor flight until the first prompt then instantly land, you should be 2m away from the entrance with the enemies respawned. It's probably a bit slower but it also doesn't necessitate a huge build so the total time might be equivalent.
