She says that only six people have ever reached the Root, and even they could only touch it. And they are called Magicians. So Mashu thinks this is just a replica, but says that the amount of memory needed to reproduce something of this scale couldn't possibly exist. And even if it did, pulling off this feat would take an absurd amount of time, at least until the heat death of the universe. Holmes then shows up and says that it would be possible if someone were to simply reflect the Root, like an actual object being reflected in a mirror. Mashu protests that this would just be copying that already exists, to which Holmes says that something like that has already been achieved.
