We also have RPCS3 for seventh-gen exclusive sports games. A few early EA Sports HD titles like Madden NFL 06, FIFA 06, 2006 FIFA World Cup, and UEFA Champions League 2006-07 are exclusive to the Xbox 360. Most of them are considered pretty bad though, so people don't really care.

>>551003706

ps4 stuff is so ghetto you click 3 different mirrors for DLC files and they all have different names and different sizes.

Those aren't textures.
You're not supposed to run texture filtering on them.
>>
Anyone save their games?
Which is better to keep for PS3, ISO or PKG? With ISO I don't need the .rap file but PKG feels cleaner because it's a digital download instead of a CD rip.
>>
>>550987139
God that's awful
>>
>>551006941
I have a mix of both but I like pkg more, one day I'll get rid of isos, they are bloated and require many update files.
>>
>>551007120
Yeah, guess I'll start cleaning up my games folders and just get all the PKG files that I can and if a game doesn't have one then I'm left with the ISO.
>>
>>551007453
the thing is finding pkg dlcs is not always easy.
>>
>>551007549

>>
>>551008520
you have to go on a per game basis and use whatever has dlc available
>>
>>551006825
Yeah, i know now after reading about texture atlas and stuff. My question is why would Duckstation have better texture filtering options than every other emulation when it's impossible to run them properly
>>
>>551008757
All DLCs are PKG. It's called downloadable content for a reason. You download it, digitally, so it's a PKG file. There's no such thing as an 'ISO DLC'.
>>
>>551009073
isos are BLUXXXXXX files and dlc pkgs associate to that serial number, game pkgs have a different serial number, so can you use iso dlc pkgs with psn pkg games? idk
test it and let us know
>>
>>551009360
>and dlc pkgs associate to that serial number
That is not true and only applies to game updates. For DLCs it doesn't matter if it's BL or NP. Yes, I have tested this in my homebrewed PS3.
>>
>>551011095
that makes switching to pkgs much easier.

>>
>>551019994

I checked but not only do you have to play without sound which sucks but you also need to use a save file to skip the entire beginning of the game and the comments there are saying the save file doesn't work with the latest version of Xenia so you have to go and see which older version of Xenia it works with.

You miss the entire first hour of the game having to use a save file and the rest of the game is just without sound.

If you JUST want to play the game, most of these games are on the Switch versions and are smaller. Runs like shit and looks like shit, but you won't need to download big files. If you're archiving them then get a bigger hard drive. I plan on buying ~50TB storage, which I hope would last me till 2027.
>>
>>551059203
>>551056998
>~50TB storage
There's no single consumer drive that size yet. For archiving, just buy whatever gives you the best price per TB in your region right now.

https://pcpartpicker.com/products/internal-hard-drive/#t=7200&sort=-ppgb&page=1

I have a 14TB drive, and even that fills up quickly if you're collecting multiple stuff, especially DVD and Blu-ray stuff. 24TB+ drives sseems pretty nice though.
>>
>>551060994

btw, go with CMR drives... Check out the latest stats here:

Are you planning to use a NAS or some kind of RAID setup? Cloud storage is another option, but it's definitely the most expensive route, and probably the 'coldest' in terms of access speed.

>>
>>551061512

Nice, that's a rock-solid setup. Enjoy the extra space.

If you don't mind me asking, what's in your collection? Any particular focuses, or is it a bit of everything?

Games is the biggest one.
Music is the second biggest. I collect FLAC music if possible. Mainly video game music or niche indie music. I do collect mainstream music but not a lot, reason is that it's so easy to find them that I can't be bothered to archive them.
Next is audio books. I love my audio books.
Next is movies. Not a lot since I only keep the ones I really like. 1080p mostly and only if I really, really like something then I'll download a 100GB file to get the 4K version.
Last is literature stuff. Things like books, manga, comics.
And there's some random stuff there too that I forget.

(Snapdragon G2 Gen 2)

https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Computer_specifications#Demand_Levels
https://retrocatalog.com/retro-handhelds/retroid-pocket-g2

Handles sixth-gen stuff (PS2, GameCube, Dreamcast) fairly well overall, PS2 around 90/100, GameCube similar, Dreamcast basically perfect.
Sixth gen note: Saturn is weaker at ~70/100, still playable for many games but not as consistent as the others.
If you're looking for a solid Android handheld focused on up to sixth-gen emulation (excluding Saturn as the standout weak point), this is a strong pick.

if you're chasing optimal seventh-gen, see emugen wiki's chart.

bro, you need this: https://github.com/kjliew/qemu-3dfx

Stop coping with 86Box already. Just give in. Bend over and let QEMU's 3dfx emulation slide right in: smooth, fast, no vaseline needed. Don't resist it, don't fight back. Just take it deep, push it as far as it'll go, and enjoy the ride. You'll be wondering why you ever suffered with 86Box in the first place.

To be fair I'm not sure exactly how much of a no-go no hardware support is. It may be emulation even in the cards that have them. The feature may be possible to hack in/emulate in unsupported cards.

Initally i wanted to play PS2 games so i downloaded ARMSX2. The experience was crap so i found another emulator called NetherSX2-patch. Worked far better. However MGS3 was quite laggy.
So i decided to try a switch emulator because I distinctly remembered a few videos claiming switch emulators work great on android because ARM to ARM emulation is just faster.
So i downloaded it and also shoved in a few of my games on my phone. They run fine.

I didn't know that there's also high performance wine+dxvk containers for android.

Never use bilinear for image scaling, it's only good as texture filtering in games that were made with it in mind. The performance gain is not worth the image quality hit

Bilinear is the default in Ryujinx, then you have FSR which is just sharpening, Near and Area

Maybe a random question, but what would you all say counts as a "puzzle game"? I ask because I want to curate a puzzle games pack that spans across all kinds of systems and generations, and while there's titles that just about everyone would readily call puzzle games (Tetris, Dr. Mario, Puyo Puyo, Bust-A-Move, etc.), there's others that seem to straddle a line. Would Lemmings count, for instance? What about Umihara Kawase? Or hell, Bomberman? That last one seems a stretch, but GameFAQs counts it as such.

Anyway, I already have a pretty good idea of what to include, but less well-known recs are also welcome.

It sure isn't the cause of SMT4's crashes.
I loaded my save on the 2123.3 version and it crashed less than 2 minutes into it.
I'm going back to the March builds. Those work fine.
I feel like there's been one or more regressions, but the people in charge are either too incompetent or too lazy to figure it out.

What you have to understand about vulkan on citra is that the vulkan rendered in citra is a heavily modified version of beta one made by a single guy.
If you can hunt down the vulkan beta versions before the official implementation you would probably get the best citra experience.
