They beauty of 18v18 is that I can play any character I want, get practice in, but not have the worry of "throw picking". I've actually gotten the chance to improve with Psylocke, Punisher, Scarlet Witch, Namor, and Star-Lord. Still suck with Bucky, Hela, and Phoenix though. I'm open to tips, but it may just be practice. I'm on console so I had to tweak settings.

I think the general rule for tanks, at least for Rogue, Thor, Thing, Hulk, and Emma, is to play "bodyguard". With the buddy system you can help competent duelists and secure much easier wins, or simply hang back with healers to make sure they don't get flanked or dived

Should Dazzler be a Vanguard or a Duelist? Personally I think she'd be a fun Vanguard.

-passive charges her with Photon energy to use for her abilities and to power up her primary fire, charges faster when she and her barriers are under fire
-her body is normal sized and proportioned, but she surrounds herself with a personal photon bubble that directs a portion of damage to her Photon Meter and serves as her health
-primary fire is a shotgun burst of photon energy that deals more damage up close and depending on her photon charge, can also charge it to become a beam of energy that pierces opponents but takes more meter
-deploys a Winston-esque Photon Bubble at a targeted location, shields everyone inside until it collapses, has between 200-500 health depending on her meter charge
-enhances her personal bubble into a Destructive Shield, nullifying projectiles and energy attacks
-Blinding Flash that blinds opponents for a few seconds
-Rocket Burst, dashes in the direction she's looking including up into the air
-Ultimate acts like the sonic mine from Star Wars, draws in all sound and then releases a burst of photon energy that damages opponents and shrouds allies in photon energy barriers

Vanguard I don't get at all, it sounds like you would want Armor or Jean Grey (alas) or someone for that kind of vanguard. I'm not saying it never happened but I can't personally ever think of a time she used her powers to put bubbles around people

No matter what her position, her ult should make all of her allies sound cues stop within a certain radius for a short time then fire a blast based on the amount of sound absorbed. It would pair well with ults like Scarlet Witch/Iron Man where the sound cue alerts everyone so they can take counter measures. It would be interesting to have teammates break terrain and stuff to cause more sound.

Supports are women and femboys. They have no agency, everything they do is caused by something you did.

Supports are trying too hard to get kills = You're not getting kills fast enough.
The only exception to this is when a support goes full battle Mercy and runs out in front of the tanks trying to brawl. That's what happens when a heterosexual male tries to play support and it's not your fault because they do have agency.

Personally I don't want her as a Strategist, mainly because we already have a singer healer and a healer with bubbles and barriers. Dazzler can make hard light objects and force fields, so defending others isn't out of her scope. Looking through her kit she does feels like she can do either taking or damage equally well.

In some ways this is kinda true at lower ranks because people cannot stop taking fucking damage for no reason and that means the support is on 24/7 heal duty. Sue is busted at low ranks especially because she can just shoot through both you and the opponent and do both, but almost anyone else. I've started playing Adam because I don't have to do as much babysitting since his heal auto aims and hitting fuckers recharges it

Word to the wise: if you are dying 1 v 3 and you start getting healed that was a sign to retreat, not start pushing even harder. Please for the love of god.
