No, people shouldn't be forced to pull a character because said character passive buffs your obligated main party member. All awareness levels should be related to their own kits.

I wonder if borrowing a whale's A6 will also buff the borrower's Wonder.

If you don't mean luck and rather 110*7 = 770 pulls, then you're out of luck since I'm guessing you haven't been buying the limited and monthly platinum ticket packs which are a better deal than the gems alone (with the exception of the first time purchase for each set of gems since they give you double the normal number of gems).

the problem is that its just pure luck, and if you want a6 its probably best to assume the worst case because youd probably want to commit after getting to something like a4 or a5 even if you run of gems.
with a6ing im not sure if the 110 or 50/50 banner is better but if youre going with the 110 thats at worst 115,500 gems to a6 not including weapon, but you also have the cognigems you get from pulling dupe characters and chances are youll get some early wins so realistically id say its about 90k - 95k gems
