I've been playing casually with a small group of work friends for a while now. We've all finished our quests and unlocked the steel path, which is pretty cool.Only there's no real visible info available in game on what to do in order to actually be able to kill stuff and survive here. It's a bit of a problem. I saw some videos talking about galvanized mods. We've all finally got a full set of galvanized mods after some grinding. We were able to kill stuff, but the ramp to get there made it so ammo was a impossible to maintain and we still struggled because we couldn't survive long enough against big groups or multiple rares enemies.So we farmed out some incarnon weapons. Still struggled.So we farmed a full set of rank 5 arcanes from the ongoing event.Feels a lot better, but it's still not where we'd like.What should our next step be towards scaling that power? We sometimes get a random in our groups who'll just fucking obliterate the entire game. We really want to be that guy.

I think a lot of people know rush to steel path before properly strengthening themselves to point where high level star chart becomes trivial and the understand the game which leads to problems like yours and everyone running torid/nourish. Run incursions and try to get steel essence to buy primary and secondary arcane mods if you haven't already and spend some time farming corrupted mods and learning the ins and outs of the modding system

Steel Path is a leap in "difficulty", you don't really have to bother with that any time soon. Excalibur is on the weaker side, so somebody might want to change to a different frame. Like anon said, Volt's Shock Trooper augment mod would benefit greatly. Oberon, Rhino, Frost, and Mag are all pretty easy to get and very well worth it.
