On a completely unrelated note, I find that the blue+pink eyes works a lot better as an accent for her base colour pallete compared to her alts. I get why they're fully pink for her herrscherr form - it's mostly white,purple, and pink, but they don't work as much for her recent battlesuit, kind of just blends in with the rest of her design.

Now that I'm looking at her more closely, something about her hair on her herrscherr model looks kind of off. Like it's missing detailing to give it texture, seems strangely low-effort for someone they keep shoving into my face. What a weird state I'm in that I'm studying her hair more than I'm paying attention to the plot.

I am sad because Astral Ring helped eliminate powercreep. Now units that were here when Part 2 began like Senadina are still viable. It's almost as bad as the feeling when we don't have 50/50 summons here.

Somehow, not really feeling the design for this battlesuit. I kind of get what they're going for - being based off of Ely's two outfits (as of the release of the chapter at least), but it doesn't really mix well with Mei in my opinion. Aside from being a literal constant reminder of whatshername, it just looks kind of 'plain' (if you could call it that) and underwhelming next to her HoT design with the horns and floating arms, and just matched her more 'practical' mindset than all the bells and whistles here.
The sudden MGR ult was a bit amusing, but I don't see the point of it being manual, I haven't read exactly what it does but why wouldn't I just mindlessly mash the attack button?
Now that I think about it Kiana's Flamescion alt basically had DMC juggling, and Truth Bologna's ult seemed to be riffing mecha games like AC. Guess someone was running out of ideas around this time.

They basically retcon everything to do with Solomon and the First Holy Grail war, which means Chaldea is never actually made. It's a huge clusterfuck, HSR's mess of time travel makes more sense.

Nobody told you this but you can actually dictate the direction of the slashes of her ult by swiping on your screen instead of tapping which, isn't much, but it's something. But yeah, HoO's main draw is on her basics/combos, which are very satisfying to actually play. Ult is pretty much often an afterthought.

the only thing I hated about this chapter is that Leylah (cunny) was supposedly as tall as kid NPCs, somewhere around Coralie's shoulder/chest height but in the VN style they're essentially the same height.
Nana also looks weirdly, abnormally small and downscaled in this photo when she's supposed to be the tallest of the bunch.

I am sad because Part 2 shows Hoyo still got it. And yet they put such little effort into HSR's story.
