Bought and played through FF14 from ARR to Dawntrail this year. From ARR to about halfway through Stormblood, the main story was fantastic and the job quests and characters added alot of charm to the game. It felt like a Final Fantasy story and game. The 2nd half of Stormblood felt rush and the ending was disappointing. From there on, the story goes steeply downhill.Although Shadowbringers had moments of greatness, this is where the game starts to shove the Scions of the seventh dawn down your throat. While these characters are fine in small doses, they aren't interesting enough that you want them all on screen at all times but unfortunately, that's just what the writers do from here on out. Everywhere you go, everything you do, theres always Scions with you and they get more and more insufferable the further you progress as the devs seem to want to turn them into wannabe Avengers for the purpose of marketing. On top of that, the Job quests are no more, they are instead replaced with role quests and the game loses alot of it's charm because of this decision.The writers go way overboard with the do gooder narrative from Shadowbringers on. It gets to the point where the Scions are telling you that you can't even kill your enemies anymore, you have to just knock them out instead and also, we have to become friends with all of the villians after we beat them, even the ones that pretty much commited or wanted to commit genocide.Now we get to this current expansion, Dawntrail, the worst one so far. The insufferable Scions are still everywhere you go but now they add a new character, Wuk Lamat and she is the most insufferable character in the game. You will more than likely hate this character and wish the devs would kill her off, most people do. It's not all bad, the dungeons are fun and the zones are gorgeous but the bad far outweighs the good in Dawntrail and I cannot recommend that anyone buys this expansion.

That's when I gave up and started just doing it in Light.Assuming Cross DC PF is still far away from now, is there a band-aid fix for this?
