Just want to make sure I understand what is intended with the Trials.I'm currently lvl 68, and I just got the first Barya that might get me my third set of ascendancy points. So in order to get those points, I have to go through 3 separate Sekhema trials, without dying, even once. Which involves me having to fight two separate bosses, neither of which I’ve seen before (I’ve seen the first trial boss before, obv), and at least the first of which appears to be able to blast through half my Honour pool with a single attack. So basically, I have to be almost flawless, in two entirely new boss fights, and I have no real opportunity to learn those bossfight mechanics with any frequency, because if I die, then I lose the Barya token, and I have to wait on RNG before I can even try to practice again, because they are traded for Divine Orbs at this level, and I don’t even have any of those yet. Sound about right? I just wanna make sure, because if I’m getting this right, I just don’t have the time to waste on this game.

>>551310527I'm a PoE2 tourist. Last time I played was in 0.1, and now I went back in blind, trying to focus on parry. Parry is nice, but really bad at bossing. All the big red slams can't be parried, but there are several attacks that also can't be parried, because their hit box is not anywhere near their animation, their hitbox for parrying is weirdly early during the animation, or worst of all: It's a slam, most of which CAN be parried, because most bosses trigger parry, when they bring their weapon down on you, but very few can't. And trying to parry those will be close to a one shot, depending on build and map. When it works it's really nice to bully bosses and rare mobs, constantly interupting their attacks, knocking them back and getting a huge payoff for it. But some bosses are almost immune to the whole mechanic. Parry can be a nice addition to a working build, but imo you need a working main skill.
PoE2 end-game is better than ever. Abyss, breach, expedition, ritual, chaos trials, sekimas, deli/simu and pinacle farming are all viable. Tablet juicing is comfy as fuck and the build variety is the best yet. Reddit made a fuss about nothing, again.
well i tried out POE last night and ended up playing for 8 hoursimagine how fucking good poe2 could've been if ggg just built poe with fancy new graphics, added WASD, sprint, dodge roll, etc. added new bosses and new skill/support gems and called it a day

so in POE1 if i'm trying to do a poison/crit build and my skills convert % phys to chaos and all my weapon damage is phys but i also have gear that adds chaos should i focus on phys on the tree over chaos? there's a node that converts 40% of my phys to chaos but i don't know if that would actually decrease my damagei wish you could directly see that effect of a node on your skill dps like you can in poe2
