Can anyone explain why presets are written the way they are? I mean if author's note is so powerful, why won't we just write all the info there (2 depth or something) and the same with char description (1 depth or something). If we know AI is going to forget stuff or flanderize stuff I don't see why these boxes even matter. For example I was using opus 4.5 last night and playing as a narrator. My persona simply says I'm not a character but a narrator yet even at 10k context opus still mistakenly adds me to the scene and apologizes in OOC for ignoring such explicit instructions. If I threw that persona description in author's note this would never have happened so what's even the point?

what really got me into botmaking was a theme week. i wanted to participate and i enjoyed reading how various people interpreted/approached the same idea -- we don't have that openness anymore.events aren't the total evil for me but i do wish we still had theme weeks. i wasn't around for the space pirate debacle so i don't know why that ran off theme week host, but i hope someone picks up the mantle or he comes back
