Do LEGEND card ever stop being Limited by default? Since the game is powercreeping, very early LEGEND cards are probably underpowered by now.

I like OCG because it is meant to be broken and unbalanced and things only rotate when the heaven's mandate wants to shift the power cards. I am 100% okay with it being this corporate guided to sell certain things above others. What I enjoy the most is when some super old card becomes relevant because of a fuckign new interaction it got suddendly or how new engineered card that fix a whole deck because it puts the final bridge in motion.I like Rush because it is actually a brewed controlled laboratory game and things don't get as chaotic. Interactions meant to happen are all considered during research. Even if a loop happens it is planned from design and if they don't like it they write it out or make measures against it with new cards so it doesn't happen again.What I can't understand is why there are so many people against nostalgia placement. This is meant to sell, DM Blue-Eyes the Gods, etc. All those classic beloved and iconic cards move product. Isn't like most of the printed stuff is nostalgia even, dedicated products for nostalgia are far less than the many ones with original or fresh stuff. Getting to play an actually performative character deck that isn't stuck if you don't get an old normal summon is something to celebrate because bricking was hardly a thing in the anime and peopl want to play more like that despite all the complains. Don't conflate "meta" and "playable" together and you will have more fun.

Back in the start there weren't defined decks beyond what good types had support plenty, which was your dragon and spellcaster era. This design has shifted to pseudo-archetypes. While they existed back them to a referential degree (the -gias dragons and sevens road stuff) more and more related effects released making for more streamlined but less open ended deck building. Aside from that, Maximum and Fusions all got way better at both getting to them (there's a bunch of miracle fusion clones left and right) and their effect quality. Contact Fusion is a thing and even Rituals are in the game now, with a catch: They exist in the extra deck. And that's good!So the vibe of playing them (just tribute summoning the best stuff for game) and now (there's multiple possible strategies some which do not require tributes at all) are very different.

Remember the episode where Weevil fusion-climbed into Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth? No. It's also not really such a small part of it. Sets in the physical game include 3 themes and one of them is almost always nostalgia. And in DL (the only available official western release), all we're getting this month is HERO and Cydra reprints along with Red-Eyes support. If I wanted to play those, I could play Speed Duel. Where's the Rush original decks?

It also doesn't use the extra deck at all, but it does use some old cards like Giftarist and Berrysist, which are from some old boxes. You can get them via SR tickets if you want them tho.

There's also some guy who managed to get KOG with Re : D Shine late last season, and INFINITE : D Shine is generally seen as a better of that deck, so if you really want to play Primaguitarna and/or Can : D, those are the best ways to do it.

Yugioh didn't get to where it was by adapting everything from MtG, so why should Rush do it with its own predecessor?
