The only times you need a necramech are either when a nightwave mission calls for it or for ETA/EDA when you get terrible modifiers for your mission. The only non-normal gears I can think of thats essential are archwings and everything related to the helminthFor people literally just starting you should focus on getting good gear. Revenant and Nova are really good frames. You should consider doing relic runs for prime gear if you havent already. Some of the holdfast weapons (Phenmor, Laetum, Praedos) are accessible and are some of the best weapons in the entire game

Answering the anon’s question from last thread regarding Tonkatt since I never got around to it. The weapon’s actually pretty good if you go all in on a heavy attack efficiency build with melee afflictions. The only problem is that you’re basically locked into only doing heavy attacks if you want that damage and it does basically fuckall to enemies you can’t induce a knockdown state on. Since the heat damage counts as its own separate instance of status damage regardless of what you mod for you’ve got some decent wiggle room for what status you want to make it. In my case I modded mine to be really slash and toxin forward and it does pretty well in EDA/ETA/Descendia. I basically just knock down anything I can and move on since the tics kill whatever can be knocked the second they get up.

The longer they go without Umbra being relevant again the harder it'll hit if he finally reappears. Imagine a payoff that spans a decade. I'm serious, his storyline is special to the game and I'm glad they haven't cheapened it by having him cameo in later, less good ones. He should only come back at a moment that truly links to what he went through with the operator.In that light, the focus on the operator reliving trauma is interesting because the operator's whole thing in Sacrifice was relieving warframes of their pain, Umbra trapped reliving killing his son. I'd love if they looped back to this from the other angle and asked how warframes could help a broken tenno (Jade's Promise suggests something similar). Trust the plan!
