Wow, I finally got around to playing The Dreamer and that is easily the best Omori mod. While I still don’t think a sequel is necessary, The Dreamer is a great addition to the story and characters. Highly recommend it if you haven’t played it yet, even if you didn’t like Oto’s previous works.

In Black Space 2 there's a box where you hear Sunny's Mom saying "We'll protect you" which could imply that both parents knew the truth to some extent and agreed to help cover it up. Even if he obviously didn't forgive Sunny for whatever he thinks he did, he still agreed to protect him. Maybe.

How would the Faraway gang spend New Years Eve?
hello /omog/i want to draw a picture, but its been a couple of years since I last played omori, and I dont remember a lot of the interpersonal drama between the characters.Please could someone give me a quick rundown on basils relationship with sunny? I see people draw him obsessive, but i dont really remember that from the game. Is he kind of a yandere? or is he just being mischaracterised by other people?

>>552185903They were close friends prior to the incident. Basil connected with Sunny more than he did the other friends. Basil seemed more comfortable around Sunny. Basil would open up to Sunny and vent to him about his problems, something Aubrey also did with Sunny. One of Basil's photo album descriptions describes Sunny as the baby of the group they had to protect since he was the youngest. When we meet Basil in his room, he mentions taking photos of what he was most afraid to lose. Considering his home life, he probably had abandonment issues of some kind. His friends a lot to him, but Sunny was most important.It's really only after Mari died that Basil had any sort of deep obsession. He wanted to protect Sunny from what had happened, even if he couldn't process it yet. His rationalization that Something else had made Sunny do it came after all was said and done. He couldn't understand it was an accident or accept Sunny murdered his own sister. Sunny's a good person, a good person wouldn't do something like that. I think the yandere stuff mostly comes from Basil doing what he did to protect Sunny, and his actions on the final night. How on some level he thinks what he did protected Sunny, and that he's going to protect him again. Also Stranger's words on the Hikikomori route.
