This guy is reasonably tough if you go straight here after footfall, or if you didn't grab a couple levels while on footfall. He's also after two fights that might give you some injuries. He's in like the second system most players go to since it's a green and yellow route straight from footfall. I find it funny that the hardest fights in the game are probably the tutorial chaos spawn, the Cinder or whatever fire gang guy on Footfall, and this one, since they're among the first fights and you haven't got your build yet, mostly.

I just finished my first playthrough of Rogue Trader. Act 4 and 5 were boring because I couldn't lose (played on unfair). I didn't even use my last 5 level ups and didn't even equip new gear for the last 10 hours of the game, because it was just tedious and unnecessary. My main character was a shield/powermace Vanguard/Warrior and I didn't use the Vanguard heroic act once. I also didn't use Kibellah's Executioner heroic act once. Despite this I really liked the game, first game to hook me like that in a couple years. I want to do another playthrough on custom difficulty sliders to make it harder, and I will also use some sub-optimal builds.

If I remember correctly, if you side with him but then say you're taking her into your protective custody, he says no and I think kills her or something drastic like that. Which means he's not just trying to get rid of "pirates", otherwise he would have been fine with that proposed solution. It is personal, and he wants her or else no one can have her.I am remiss to join pirates against an admiral, so most of my characters haven't really considered the personal implications and I join the admiral, it's one of those things where you only find out if you pry.

First of all, the Fellowship are pirates, but they're not chaos. They are regular criminals.Secondly, if an admiral is using navy material and personnel in a personal crusade, then he should immediately be fired on the spot. We don't have the authority to do that, so the next best thing is to kill him.Thirdly, her particular band of ships are not necessarily bad guys. We don't know what they've done or not done, and we just have her saying they're running and we have him saying they're pirates. There's no reason to take one word over the other, especially since through metagaming we do in fact find out that he's lying. She's a rich noble, she has the means to make a little private armada, we don't know if they're actually pirates.So personally I do think I will side with her in my future playthroughs.
