I struggle with roleplaying. Everyone I interact with seems to prefer planning out every detail of the interaction in advance and having a sort of script or outline to follow where they discuss what exactly will happen. I don't understand how to really do this and feel like it's not very faithful to what RP in a game is. Am I just weird or is this more a case of bad luck? My last RP ended with the other party saying we don't seem to be compatible writers but I ended up being the one who did all of the actual planning part like they like and they weren't super responsive when I asked them to make choices in the first place. I mean like, I had a good time but the thing about them saying we were incompatible made me feel bad.
