I really want to buy into these schizo theories just because the ending feels so lacking. There’s nothing about Maris that makes the whole hiding behind the alien God thing or needing to obscure itself. It’s just a fancy Angel ball with a personality problem. The deductions and conclusions all feel lacking. It really feels like the kind of ending you get before the true ending.
